Toysmith: Liquid Motion Bubbler

I bought this as a “teeth-brushing timer” to get my daughter to brush her teeth longer. For this purpose it works, but it could be better. First off, as other reviewers have said, it is much smaller than the description. It’s about 5.5 inches tall not 6.3 inches. It’s also lighter: 4 ounces instead of 6.4 ounces. I received a green and yellow one: green and yellow oil on a slightly yellow background. I wish the background was clear because the green oil flows faster and once it runs out, it’s just yellow oil on a yellow background which doesn’t look good. The green oil runs out after about 40 seconds (plus or minus 5 seconds) and the yellow runs out after about 1 min 30 seconds (plus or minus 10 seconds.) So for most of the time, we have only the ugly yellow on yellow color scheme. It’s too expensive for what it is, but my daughter is fascinated by it and it seems durable. I would give it 4 stars if the colors looked prettier. Unfortunately you can’t choose the color.
