Terrific fountain

The item came exactly as described, and ahead of schedule. Unlike other fountain reviews that I read, the item is so simple that there isn't much that can go wrong. The center rock wasn't perfectly placed, so the water flows over one side of the rock easily and not the other, unless I turn the pump on high, which is too loud for my taste. It doesn't really matter, because I have that side turned to the wall. The fountain looks good, is relaxing to have around, and I'm very happy with it. I only wish there were an on and off switch, rather than having to plug and unplug it every day (I have it on a shelf in my office).

Slimey and Paint Peeling

We have had the pump a year and 4 months. I've used only distilled water and kept the reservoir cleaned. Last time I cleaned the reservoir the paint scrubbed off. "No worries", I thought, "nobody else will be looking in here." Today I cleaned the upper surface and the paint peeled off in large swaths underneath the fake rock. There is really no excuse for using a non-waterproof paint. The fountain itself is a resin and could have just been stained. The pump still works and we do find the sound relaxing.
