SwissGear Scansmart Laptop Backpack

I love this laptop backpack. I read through all the reviews on Amazon.com and selected this one based on the many positive reviews so am adding my own to help others. I am a 44 year old sales executive and wanted something very functional but something also very "corporate looking" that I could bring into client meetings without looking like I just walked off a college campus somewhere. Candidly, I also wanted something masculine and the Swiss-Army brand fit the bill. In terms of construction the material is very well put together, tough and durable. I have also found it to be very water resistant (hesitant to say waterproof because I have never really tested it unprotected in a full out downpour). The backpack is quite comfortable to wear even when heavy, as I test in my daily 15 minute walk from the train to my office. The inside is very functional and well organized, with several pen-pockets (there is nothing as maddening as trying to find a pen in the bottom of a full backpack), another pocket I use to hold my business cards, a phone pocket, and several other utility pockets. Also love the port at the top for earphones to feed through since I often listen to my iPhone when walking to work; this allows me to have the iPhone in the backpack rather than in my hand and just go through one of my playlists. The side zipper for the laptop is very handy and keeps the laptop separate from everything else. The side zipper makes it super easy to take the laptop in and out and there is a velcro strap within the pocket to secure the laptop. I also love the pack's ability to send the laptop through the airport screener without removing it and have used that functionality several times without any questions from the TSA. Excellent product. Completely satisfied.
