Cuisinart 12-Cup Coffee Maker

My old grind and brew had a warmer plate temperature control built in...this does not. It also cracks and pops well after the brew is done...it will not surprise me when the hot plate breaks on this thing. The old one seems to be a much better build quality...but I broke the pot and the new pot was half the price of a new unit. The biggest drawback of this thing is that it overflows ALL THE TIME and makes a huge mess. I had been brewing 10 cups of coffee in my old gring-n-brew the EXACT same way for YEARS. This pot is supposed to be a 12 cup pot, but if I use the same amount of coffee as I used to use on my old 10 cup (and I would prefer to use more since this holds more water) it overflows the filter, with then pushes grinds towards the pot, but then the drip hole is too small so it clogs up and the entire thing backs up all over the countertop. I WISH I could return this hunk of junk. If you don't drink much coffee or you like it weak and thin using very little coffee this is for you. If you drink a lot of coffee and like it with lots of flavor AVOID THIS MACHINE.
