Why Did I Wait So Long? This Machine is Awesome. My favorite part is how you can buy a Mason Jar Attachment and vacuum seal jars where the metal lid with the rubber seal is on top of the jar and the air has been removed. Then you can take the Mason Attachment and use it on another jar... and another jar. After you seal a jar, you can keep sealing more jars. You don't need to keep the attachment on the jar after you have sealed it. What this means is... you buy one attachment for the regular mouth jars, and one for the wide mouth jars, and you can seal up all your jars by removing the air. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not to replace canning. This just removes most of the air so that what you have in the jar stays fresh longer because you have removed most of the air. Fruits and vegetables still should remain in the refrigerator (if they are ripe) so that they will keep longer. About 28 hours ago, I cut an old apple that had some bad spots in it. I threw out the bad spots and then put the good pieces in a jar and sealed it.After I sealed it, you could see a very slight brown color on the apple. 28 Hours Later, it looks the same. I have never seen apple pieces look that good for that long. Especially an old apple. Today I put some Asparagus and some Ginger in their own jars. I left a little out to use, but want to keep most of it fresh. I will update this as soon as I have more news. So Far, I can Say this is Great. UPDATE: The Apple has been in the Jar 1 week Today, and it is still not brown. It is the same color as when I put it in there. Please note, I have not added any lemon juice or anything. Removing the Air keeps the apple from browning.
