So Far, So Great
By Dark Helmet on Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2014
This product is something of a hybrid between a beard trimmer and hair clipper, and it's been perfect. I spend 6+ months a year traveling the word for work, so I needed something portable. Not only is this a nice, compact size, but because it's both precise enough for beard trimming and powerful enough for head-shaving, it's allowed me to leave two devices at home, and just bring this. Another huge benefit (and the reason I bought this), is that it can be charged through your laptop via USB. So, when I'm in the states, I can charge it through the wall, but when I'm traveling, I can plug it into my computer with no fear of damaging the motor due to international voltage differences. In terms of performance, it works great. When I first turned it on, I was concerned it might be underpowered because it was so quiet, but turns out it's plenty powerful with the added bonus of not sounding like a lawnmower. I used it to take my longish hair down to 1/4", and even with the attachment, it zipped through my hair as easily as the professional grade Wahl clippers I have at home. For beard trimming, it also did a great job. The only drawback is the because it's a bit larger, getting the hairs of my mustache was a bit tricky. But, it's doable. The three attachments allow you to select any length, at 1/8" increments, from stubble up to 2". Lots of versatility. We'll see how this holds up over time, but so far, I'm very happy.

The comb design sucks - the machine is great
By Oakland Z on Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2014
Pro: This is a great machine. Heavy weight (but not too heavy) suggests quality components, the rubberized grip, the buttons, lights, etc... and the standard mini-USB charger. Great stuff. Con: The worst comb design ever. I have short hair. I could not get a cut with the hair comb, and was able to get something with the beard trimmer comb, but had to fight with it. There are NO markings (well, they are but visible) to see where you have the length setting. So easy to screw up -- like I did and cut too short. Not very many length settings too. Your mileage may vary. For 100% refund policy, I'd say you should try it if you don't see something better. I found a Noreclo/Phillips with just one comb (built in) that uses a dial to adjust the length. Not as solid a machine, but seems to work better to cut hair.
