High-quality coffee maker
By PHill on Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2019
I have gotten this set up to brew my coffee so that it is ready when I wake up! It is a high-quality product and works great. Also, the Cuisinart people helped me when I had issues setting up the coffee maker and were very nice.

grinds beans and brews a good pot of coffee
By Heath R. Brandenburg on Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2015
It works: grinds beans and brews a good pot of coffee.I picked up a grind and brew because I have very small kitchen and this saves space compared to separate pieces.Note: the refurbished version does NOT include a gold tone filter. The manual even states this.Finding paper filters that fit has proven to be a bit of a challenge. I went to the supermarket and purchased the size recommended in the manual; these were much too large to fit in the basket with the lid. Cone filters have not worked. I've resorted to using a "junior size" filter which fits in the basket, but grounds find their way over the top of these filters and into the pot on occasion. As far as the grinder goes, it is loud but not as loud as a stand alone blade-style grinder. You will get condensation in the grinder during the brewing process, making a gooey mess. Just clean the grinder after each pot of coffee and you'll be fine. The carafe keeps the coffee warm for a good amount of time. If you prefer your coffee scalding hot, this is not the maker for you. I find the temperature to be just about perfect.Scheduling is easy. You just need to remember to set it all up the night before. This works well for me since I'm always in a rush to get out the door in the mornings. Bonus, it doesn't have a heating plate so no worries about forgetting to turn it off before leaving the house. The controls are pretty basic, not intimidating. The machine as a whole is an over complicated contraption though. The carafe has to be in place with the lid screwed on, the filter basket needs to have its lid in place, and the grinder needs to be installed with its lid, and the top cover needs to be closed before the coffee maker will turn on. All of this even if you're using pre-ground coffee or just making hot water.Overall, it seems to be of good quality and does its job. While there are quite a few annoyances, I won't be sending it back or replacing it with something else any time soon. But, when the time does come to purchase a new coffee maker, I won't be considering this one.
