Overall a good pitcher
By TwinMom09 on Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2012
This pitcher is the perfect size for my refrigerator door. I have not had any problems with it so far. The top closes very tight and it has not leaked for me when pouring. I would caution using a blade to open the box, however. I scratched the pitcher because I used scissors to open the box and the air pillows that were used for packaging shifted in transit. I made a small scratch in the pictcher when opening.

Poor lid design, doesn't leak in the closed position, dribbles in the pour position
By Michael Tree on Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2013
Update- Much to my displeasure, I have found out that when the level of liquid in the pitcher gets below about half, the pouring spout/lid combination dribbles all over, even removing the inner lid doesn't stop this. Poor design is very frustrating. Pros- Easily removable silicon seals, which are transparent - leakproof seal - wide mouth Cons- clear plastic container is thin, and abrades easily, as the one I got came with some scuffs on it. I did contact Amazon about this, but there was nothing in the package which would have caused these abrasions other than cardboard or airbag packs. Also, and I knew this before buying, it is inherently unstable, being tall and pretty small in diameter. There is a warning tag that came with it saying it will break if dropped on hard surface. Also, not sure if this is inherent to all of them, but mine has arrived slightly oval, I wouldn't have noticed it looking at it, but when washing it, could feel the off-round shape. There is also a minimal seam running top to bottom. Southern sweet iced tea, still looking for that perfect pitcher and still looking, but there are advantages to this one, as I listed above, I have a large hand and it fits inside, which makes cleaning easier. There are pitchers out there which are not airtight, that are easily cleaned, the problem seems to be marrying these two ideas. As far as the breakable nature of these pitchers, I have Brita pitchers, made of a similar hard clear plastic, which are about two to three times thicker and have dropped them and had them bounce across the room on more than one occasion, expecting them to break, and they never have, and the one I am using now is five years old and has no noticeable abrasions like the Takeya already has on it. The cushioned handle is removable and mine will likely become clutter in the drawer, something else to clean if used. -Made In China
