Breville BMF600XL Milk Cafe Milk Frother

I replaced my old Capresso frother with the Breville Milk Café Frother, hoping for an upgrade in both durability and performance. Indeed, the Breville has proven to be robust, used almost daily without any signs of wear; the disks haven't oxidized, and both the motor and heater are still performing well. However, it's not without its shortcomings. My main issue is with incorporating powders into my drinks. If I add cocoa or matcha powder at anything above a very slow trickle, the frother stops spinning and requires a restart. This is frustrating, especially considering this was not an issue with my previous frother. Additionally, I've noticed other frothers on the market offer a finer froth and handle powder mixing more effectively, without the clogging issue. Considering the Breville Milk Café Frother is one of the most expensive options available on Amazon, I expected top-tier functionality that could handle everything I threw at it. While it's reliable and well-built, it falls short in versatility and ease of use with powdered additives. If you don't need to mix powders into your froth, it might still be a solid choice, but there are better options out there for those who do.
