Game-Changing Knife Sharpener - Chef'sChoice EdgeSelect Delivers Exceptional Results!
By Ramon Rodriguez-martinez on Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2023
I recently acquired the Chef'sChoice EdgeSelect Professional Electric Knife Sharpener, and I must say, it has completely transformed my knife sharpening experience. As a first-time user of a high-quality sharpener, I am delighted by its remarkable performance. This 3-stage sharpener quickly and effectively restored the sharpness of my 4-year-old kitchen knife, and even tackled the challenge of sharpening a blunt butcher's knife. The efficiency and ease of use of this sharpener impressed me from the start. The 3-stage sharpening system, featuring diamond abrasives, proved to be a remarkable combination. In just five minutes, my aging kitchen knife was revived and brought back to life. Although it didn't eliminate all the nicks in the blade edge - which would have required a complete reworking of the edge - it still provided a substantial improvement, leaving my knife impressively sharp. I decided to put the sharpener to the test with a blunt butcher's knife, and it rose to the challenge. Given the knife's extremely dull state and wide-angle edge, it required more time and attention. It took approximately 30 minutes of careful sharpening, but the results were outstanding. The sharpener successfully restored the blade's functionality, allowing me to effortlessly slice, skin, and chop my food with precision. It's truly a versatile tool for sharpening a variety of knives. One important thing to note is that it's crucial not to apply excessive pressure on the blade during the sharpening process. I discovered that I had a tendency to press too hard, which hindered the sharpening progress. However, with practice and patience, I quickly learned to apply the correct amount of pressure for optimal results. I recommend using a cheap knife initially to practice and get familiar with the technique. Once you have mastered it, you'll be able to confidently sharpen your prized knives. In summary, the Chef'sChoice EdgeSelect Professional Electric Knife Sharpener has surpassed my expectations in every way. Its ability to quickly restore the sharpness of my kitchen knives is truly remarkable. While it may require some practice and patience, the results are well worth the effort. With proper technique and care, this sharpener will breathe new life into your blades, making slicing, skinning, and chopping tasks a breeze. I wholeheartedly recommend this outstanding sharpener to anyone in search of professional-level results.

Very disappointed in Trizor effectiveness.
By Particular Male Shopper on Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2025
Very disappointing product for as many positive reviews it receives. For a $140 item, it should sharpen any knife in any condition. It doesn’t even come close to getting a knife very sharp let alone just sharp. I’ve used whetstones in the past and bench grinders to sharpen knives and get the same result with using the Trizor. I’ve read the enclosed booklet for tips several times for proper instructions too. You can purchase the exact same sharpener shape and all for nearly half the cost and the lower priced sharpeners have the exact same grit diamond disks in them. Our knives are not $125 a piece knives. They’re decent, regular stainless steel knives that come out of their original packaging sharp. When they become dull, we sharpen them. Bench grinding is effective but highly inaccurate and whetstones take hours to sharpen a knife. The Trizor was supposed to take the frustration out of sharpening knives but it has been very disappointing so far. To those who rate this device so positively, what are your tips to getting your knives so sharp? That would be helpful to know. There are other units on Amazon selling around the $80 range that look exactly like the Trizor that I would advise purchasing because spending $140 is crazy ridiculous. At least with an $80 sharpener you’ll feel the same disappointment but at a lower cost.
