I finally cut out a bush where the only decent spot to hang a flag pole exist on the front of my house. I know some thought the bracket was cheap and it is plastic but it gets the job done. The pole looks good and the flag is a nice quality. Right now I'm hanging it on special occasions, but when I get a light up I will leave it up. We'll see how the bracket holds up to that. UPDATE: I hung a flag light on the pole so I could leave it up and it lasted for a while but on a windier day the bracket broker. I think it would have held if the light were not attached. So I'm leaving my review at 5 stars because it held as intended. I added extra weight and that is on me.

Beautiful flag, cheap pole

The flag included with this set is very well made and I chose it in part because the flag was attached to the pole by side clips versus sliding over the pole. The pole, unfortunately, leaves a lot to be desired. First, the top of the pole, that looks brass, is actually plastic that is covered by brass colored paint. My pole arrived with the brass paint scratched of on one side, revealing black plastic underneath. The clips that hold the flag to the pole and the pole bracket/holder are also cheap and thin plastic. I do not think that the pole could hold up to the elements. I returned the flag due to the scratched pole top and cheaply made pole components.
