Great for a tall toddler...

I had read several reviews about other princess dress up sets being too small for their kids. This particular set worked out GREAT for my tall three year old toddler (who is in a princess phase). She wears a 4T to 5 in normal clothes and is approximately 32 pounds and 40" tall. There are three tops (they Velcro in the back), three skirts (with elastic) along with headbands and "jewelry". Almost all of the jewelry was too big but that is ok. I like the fact that you can match characters up together (Snow White, Cinderella etc) or mix and match the items (since it is two pieces). The "trunk" that comes with it is actually cardboard. Nothing fancy at all... like a shoe box but bigger. It might last a little while but I am not expecting it to! But everything does fit in nicely so it is great to store all the gear. We added our own "shoes" and tiaras to the mix so it was perfect for the princess "party". For under $30 you get three outfits. Not too bad. This would make a really nice gift for a little girl.

My daughter is obsessed with princess' and dresses. I prefer more realistic "princess" clothes she can actually wear in public. My husband ordered this for her Christmas gifts, the size advertised and on the dress labels says 4-6. The daughter we bought this for is 3, and small for her age, often still in size 24m, but we wanted her to have the room to grow. We also have a 5 year old. The reason I share that info is because when my 3 year old goes to wear this size 4-6, day 1, she says its too small...I go to see if shes just tangled it up or putting it on wrong, but it is really small, and for sure would never fit my 5 year old let alone my 3 year old. My husband wasnt around at the time, and when i told him he looks at them and says "wow, these are really small. Helps its tops & skirts and not 1 piece dress per princess, and we didnt get far enough to try on skirt, but with the top being so small it kind of defeats the actual princess outfit. Pretty disappointed and will probably return for something that not only fits, but also more comfortable then tight dress up play clothes.
