Perfect solution for a small dog!
By Sam on Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2013
We have an 8lb Yorkie. Our duplex is not large, but the space was enough to make him anxious and somewhat destructive while we were away at work. We tried fences, gates, and "corrals" to block him into the kitchen, but he climbed and chewed through them. I didn't want to crate him all day, until I saw this. This crate can fit a golden retriever. It's really huge. It comes with a middle divider so you could potentially put two small/medium sized dogs in the crate. We took the divider and turner it on it's side, parallel to the ground, placed it half way up and used its hooks to secure it to the walls of the crate. We put a potty pad, his water, and little plush dog stairs on the bottom; his bed, blankets, and toys on top. It is now what we call his "Puppy Palace." He regularly uses his potty pad while he is confined/we are away (he's now a 1.5 years). He loves having a place that is his alone and he even goes in there when we are home. Part of our morming routine is to give him his tiny kong in the Puppy Palace and he's taken to waiting in there as we get ready. I couldn't have asked for a better solution for our little dog in making sure he feels safe and secure. BONUS: It folds up and fits nicely in a closet when we aren't using it. :)

35 lb dog destroyed this in 4 days
By S. Siegel on Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2012
I have a 35 lb hound/bulldog. She is 9 months old. She came home to us on Monday afternoon. We crate her for 2 hours during the afternoon, and overnight while we are asleep. By Thursday afternoon, she has bent almost all the metal frame around the door, completely bent the metal latches that keep the door locked, and has actually broken the welds off the door so she can now stick her head fully out of the crate. In a day or two, she will probably be able to get a few more welds knocked off and escape. I never saw a dog dismantle a crate like this in 4 days. If you have a dog that doesnt want to be crated, you might need a crate that is more durable and welded better than this one. I need to see if Amazon can refund me for this broken mess and if I can find a stronger one locally where I can better evaluate the gauge and welds. I have a photo I'd love to post, so if I can figure it out, you'll see it above.
