Good for quarantine tank for small fish!!!
By MiniAmi on Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2025
This tank is a keeper for me. I only use it as a quarantine tank for new fish that I buy. It's very easy to set up and very light weight. The black bottom base comes off so I have to be careful when transferring the tank to another area. The whole tank is solid throughout so there is no possibility for leaks unless there is crack somewhere. Everything works fine, the filter and the aerator. The front is halfmoon shape and I can't really observe the scales and fins of my fish because the shape distorts the view so I turned it around to see them better, as shown in the picture. The back is flat with better view for observing the fish. I only use it for a maximum of 4 weeks until quarantine is complete. Then I store this again for future use. Good tank for my purpose.

Decent for beginners

So I originally got this tank because my daughter wanted to hatch some triops and they looked sad in the tiny tank that came with the set and I got tired of dumping water twice a day. The tank is very light weight and looks very nice. The lights and bubbler would not sit flat which was frustrating. We got some sand since the little things like to dig and some decorations. A half inch layer seemed to keep it down though and it looked pretty nice. Since the filter and bubbler are attached to the same pump, you can’t have them both up as high as they go. Which was fine for the critters we have in there. The bubbler and lights work fine however the cord and tubing is a little annoying to look at but it starts to just blend after a while. It would be nice if they could include maybe a suction cup that could at least hold the tube and wire together and on the back of the tank. The lid fit perfectly before I filled the tank. After I filled it though there ended up being a small gap in the back like others have mentioned. It’s just the water pressing out the flat side of the tank and isn’t super noticeable. It does make it a bit harder to put the lot of without it falling in. I found though that if I put the corners on first so they sit properly, then the rest just settles down where it should go. The thing that made me give it a three star instead of a five though, is the filter. It worked fine for about a week. The suction was fine but I started noticing things it was sucking up were just coming out the spout. I changed the filter, just assuming the triops in there were dirty like goldfish and would take extra cleaning. There were a few little bubbles that would come out but that’s just gotten progressively worse. The lid on the filter doesn’t stay put when it bubbles so I noticed little bits of water on top of the lid from popping bubbles. Now three weeks in the bubbles are so bad, the bubbles push the betta food all over and up the sides of the tank. The biggest issue is no matter how much cleaning I do of the filter housing inside and out, and replacing the actual filter, the bubbles just keep getting worse. So bad that yesterday I noticed a decent size puddle around the tank and on the floor and it was because the bubbles were coming out the back and water was running down the clip for it on the back of the tank. I had to use two hand towels to clean up all the water. I’ve looked for other filters however there is a space on the lid for the filter that is fairly small so most filters that hang on the edge of the tank won’t fit with the lid on. I’ve been looking at submersible filters instead. The only problem with that is that the tank is not real wide so there’s not a whole lot of room for decorations AND a filter on the bottom. Over all I think the tank is good for the price since it comes with the bubbler, the pump, the tubing, and the filter. Using a paper towel to wipe the walls inside keeps the plastic from getting scratched. I would just say maybe once you get it, start looking for a different filter because the one that comes with is pretty cheap.
