Wonderful!

I recently purchased this excellent set of cook ware after months of reading reviews and research. Boy am I pleased with this purchase. My old cook ware set was a "non-stick" and nearing its 15 year anniversary it was a well known brand of its time "Faberware" purchased at a local high end department store, we paid over $200.00 for it, it held up, but I was always worried about the kids or family using metal spoons in it, which of course they did and really put a hurt on a few of the pieces. The time had come to purchase a new set, I thought I would be going the stainless route, so I had purchased 1 sauteed pan, it often burned food and almost always would stick, clean up was ok, as long as I used an "S0S" pad, but it didn't do much for my nails. But then I started researching the "Anodized" cookware, this stuff is great it is what cooking dreams are made of. I love every thing about it, from the heat resistant handles, to the even cooking surfaces, to the effortless clean up. No sticking, not even frying Italian sausage and onions.. Circulon is well know, and the price was out standing, I received my cookware in less than a week after ordering, Opened and inspected each piece to find everything in perfect order. The pots are solid and of and the lids fit tightly, very well made these should last me for the rest of my days. I don't have to worry about the "grand kids" helping out these pans are not afraid of metal, they are made for it..love them!

Pans are too small, the ridges are so annoying, and the handles get hot!

First the positive: Very cute, festive-looking set. Good value for the price. Non-stick surface works great. Now the negative: The handles get hot even though they are coated with the red rubber-like material. On the stock pot, there is not enough width on the red part of the handles for me to grab them without getting burned. Very annoying that I have to use an oven mitt to hold on to the handles. The non-stick surface has ridges and this makes it very difficult for me to fry an egg without breaking the yolk because the cooking surface is bumpy. I've never had that problem with any other cooking set before. Although they are dishwasher safe, the way the handles are attached to the pan leaves a miniscule opening between the handle and the body of the pan/pot so that water gets in there. Ever since we started using them, my husband and I have had to literally drain the water out of the crevices before storing them after having discovered puddles of water in the drawers where we store them one too many times. Last but not least, the pans are so small. I have to cook for a family of four and this is definitely not the right cookware for my household. I would have loved to return them but the company has one of those pain in the neck return policies (original packaging, get an RMA, and then a 25% restocking fee) so I'm just going to donate them to goodwill. In summary, this cookware might be just right for someone who is single or a couple that's just starting out but, if you're cooking for a family, go with something bigger.
