Cat loves it!
By Janet on Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2012
This is almost the cheapest cat furniture on market, but it's surprisingly good! So easy to set up. Tools are included. It's sturdy. I sit on it sometimes when my cat's not using it. Cat sleeps on top shelf, so she stop sleeping with me. I put it by the window in bedroom (uploaded photos). She loves to sit on top and look out the window, and gradually falls asleep. Her life style seems much cozier with this stool! She scratch the top surface whenever she wakes up, and she uses the scratching area on the bottom shelf as well. But I've Never seen her use the 2 posts that are meant for scratching. Maybe due to the insufficient hight. ps: My cat is scared of almost everything. Fist day after I set it up, put her on it, she got scared and run away. I thought I made a bad purchase. Then I seduced her to go up there with food. Once she became familiar with it, I move the stool by the window where she loves to hang out. 2 hours later I saw her sitting on the stool. If you have a shy cat like mine, you may put it by the window, put cloth that has familiar scent to the cat on the stool, and I think cat will use it after a while. Update: After 2 years, the stool is pretty much worn. I came back to buy another, and saw that the price increased from $21-$45! Don't know if I want to pay that much. I'm gonna look around.

My Cat Hates The Paper Posts
By T-Lo on Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2016
The "high durable total paper made posts" are a complete non-starter with my cat. I give this item three stars because there's nothing 'wrong' with the actual build of it. It seems sturdy, the top is fine for lounging, it's easy to put together and all the necessary items to put it together were included. However, my cat absolutely HATES it. She just refuses to scratch these paper posts. I bought this to replace an older rope/twine scratching post that she destroyed and even though it LOOKS like the rope/twine posts that she's used to, she quickly realized the difference. I had no idea this would be such a deal breaker. No matter how much catnip I lather on this thing, she won't change her mind so now I'm stuck having to buy a replacement with real rope posts.
