I don't write a lot of reviews. I thought I would add my own 2 cents for this purchase. First of all, for those who say this is light weight material. Yes, some of it is, but for the placement of your most important equipment (television), it is more than capable. It took my wife and I to lift up the box to take it down here to the man cave. She actually put it together in 45 minutes. Pretty much by herself. She loves doing this stuff. All parts present. No nicks dings or anything else. I have a 55 inch Sharp TV and it fits perfectly on the shelving. I was also able to put CD, DVD, Amp and cable box into this. I purchased the cherry which is a lot more black than cherry, but still is a very attractive piece The shelving on either side is not very big at all. I wasn't expecting much. The dimensions are the dimensions. It fits where I placed it perfectly after looking at the measurements here. I have been looking for a nice, smaller, unit to replace some stuff that I had literally thrown together. This was the year I decided to upgrade to something nicer. And yes, for $120.00 dollars, I am extremely happy with the purchase.

If you buy this prepare to be frustrated!
By Johnathan on Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2018
While I don't doubt this stand will have some longevity and it ends up looking nice after you build it, more than likely you're going to get quickly frustrated at multiple points. Firstly, the manual only shows the bare minimum (as in what should go where) without much direction so if something doesn't feel quite right expect to be contacting them directly because the manual won't do much good for you unless you're already used to building these things yourself. Secondly, while some parts are fairly easy to install, you're going to have to screw into pre-drilled holes which will require you to brute force (I'd recommend power tools to finish so you don't end up overexerting yourself) them into place at times, which, if you're not used to doing things like that already won't bode much confidence since the manual isn't much help in that regard and you're left wondering if you're doing it correctly (but at least most of the parts are labeled and nicely put into separate bags). Finally, as some other reviews have stated, skip towards the end of the manual and start on the hinges first. I wished I paid attention to those reviews before I started working on it to save myself from the frustration of trying to make sure the doors are properly aligned. Don't worry about following the manual exactly in the order it's in (even though they recommend it), just as long as you don't pre-emptively put screws in before attaching the main boards together you should be fine. I went over the main points I had to keep this review simple and informative but I will go over some other points as well that I haven't touched on earlier. Some of the boards will probably have scratches and nicks on them before you even get to put them together (although they won't be noticeable to most people unless they look for them), certain structural boards will feel flimsier than they should until you get to later stages, I had to call someone and they told me this but it's still not a good feeling from a design/builder standpoint, because the holes are pre-drilled don't expect to have an easy time screwing everything in (I especially hated the part with the cam bolts and the video they recommend you watch only makes things more infuriating). To conclude, it's a nice looking TV stand and I'm sure some could argue I suck at putting it together the manual wouldn't exactly help someone's confidence in putting it together and feeling as though they did everything right since (it almost feels like) it's assumed you'll have an easy time doing everything listed of which your mileage will vary. I like the way it looks but it's annoying to try and put together with the manual not being much help at all and I can only recommend this to you if you're willing to put yourself through that for the final product.

Great looking, durable and affordable stand

First off, let me start by saying this stand looks great and feels very sturdy. I will note there was a little nitch in the front that may have been caused by it getting banged up in shipping or production, but it was not large at all. This is heavy. I would recommend two people for putting it together, though it could be done with one. The pieces are numbered, so it is easy to see what you need; however, some of the directions are tricky if you are not good with those weird diagrams with little in the way of worded instructions. It will take some time to put it together ( would say at minimum 30 minutes), but all you need other than what is included is a screwdriver. All in all, I would recommend this stand. It looks nice and seems quite durable. While the directions could have been better, it was much easier to put together as far as pieces fitting, etc. then most products you buy that are not assembled. Another bonus is the shelves within the cabinets are adjustable- so you can move them a little up or down depending on what size you need. Update 12/10/15: I have now ordered an additional one of these and it was not damaged at all.Though this still took me around an hour to put together, the only part I struggled with was putting the latches on as the holes weren't drilled out enough. If I had been using a power screwdriver it probably wouldn't have been an issue. Also, I have 55" Visio TVs on these and they fit fine. The new TV has feet on the end (rather than the support in the middle), but it still fits fine.
Probably the best TV stand for this price range

The package was a long thin box. It was fairly protected, with foam around the outside and thin foam films between the pieces. I was surprised at how compact the box was. Pieces fit tightly in there like a puzzle. As an engineer, I appreciate the thought put into the packaging design. The box itself had some damage marks on it so I checked the pieces for damage. They were all well protected and damage free. For assembly, I had just a multi-bit screw driver. The whole process took about on and off 2 hours, with a lot of that wasted on the door assembly. Most of the holes that require wood screw were pre-drilled with holes, so assembling them with screw driver wasn't too bad. However, the holes for the door panel hinges were not drilled. Along with the instruction steps of attaching the hinges to the body before attaching to the door, that made assembling the doors a hard task. For the second door, I laid the panel on the ground and screwed the screws half way in first as a pre-drill and that helped. If the holes on the doors were pre-drilled, I would have given this a 5 stars. Rest of the assembly was smooth and the instructions were intuitive. I would suggest moving the hint of "the hinges were adjustable" to before the hinge installation instruction, so customers won't OCD on centering the screws perfectly for the attachment. Unlike pictures shown in some previous reviews, the flat table pieces were all solid one-piece instead of jointed 3 pieces for mine. It seems there are two versions of this. As a finished product, the stand is gorgeous. The assembly is cleverly designed. It's very heavy and sturdy and should not have any problem supporting any TV that can fit on it, then plus some. Due to the price, it is compressed wood with a laminated finish, so the expectation for the surface finish durability should be scaled to the price. One of my small piece had the lettering sticker half off the edge of the piece, so when I ripped the sticker off, it peeled a little bit of the surface finish off the piece. Lucky it's not a a visible place with the finish product. This piece of furniture isn't expected to see a lot of use or abuse, so I expect mine to last for years to come. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. It's a great looking piece of furniture with good functionality, and a steal for this price.
Great TV stand

Great TV stand!. My Samsung 55" ( my TV is 38 pounds so no problem with 60 pound weight issue. If you have a 60" TV, you will have some over lap on the stand but not much. Just keep in mind weight of TV and length) smart TV fits just nice on the stand. Right-on-the-money-honey. LoL. Color of stand goes well with my brown love seat and sofa set. I even spray painted the legs of stand a metallic color to make them stand out more than that grey look. I used the second shelf to place my soundbar. Got the black/cherry one (which has gone up in price. Got mine with the Amazon card $50 off. So, I paid a nice cool $34 for the stand. Did not want to spend a lot for a TV stand). My one recommendation is to screw in the hinges before building the stand. But leave screwing on the door after it's all finished. Also, I would recommend using a impact screwdriver which will make everything go much faster( I did have a Phillips screwdriver on hand just to start the screws). I just took my time (did the building myself) due to the fact this is particle wood and it damages very easy. Two other things: Do not over tighten the screws or legs. Just make them snug. My box (delivered by UPS) was a little wet on the outside but all contents were in the box and not damaged as some have experienced (Hey, there is a toll free number to call on the front of instructions if you do experience missing or damaged parts. So, some of the comments about missing or damaged parts are NOT necessary. I know it is a hassle and you want to play with your new toy, but call CS and they will ship new parts for FREE). Otherwise, this is a beautiful piece and fairly simple to build (instructions were easy to follow. At least for me.) Again, just take your time (If it takes you three days or three hours) and use the right tools. You will love the finished product! Guaranteed! PS. Looks so nice thinking about getting one of those audio stands in black/cherry!!!
Surprisingly nice stand for the money

This stand is way nicer than I expected it to be given what I paid for it. It is rock solid after thoroughly tightening all the screws and it looks great. You can't really tell it's made from press board, though looking at it you certainly aren't going to mistake it for fine wood. Perfect for a game room, maybe not what you want for your formal living area (though really not all that bad for that either, really, depending on your decor and snobbiness). Assembly took about an hour, maybe an hour and fifteen minutes. I did everything myself except my son held the doors for me while I screwed on the hinges. As other reviewers have noted attaching the doors is the trickiest part of assembly but really not that big of a deal. All of the predrilled holes matched up perfectly and all of my pieces were in perfect condition, not a scratch on anything. Every part was well marked in individual bags and the instructions were easy to follow. Definitely have a vacuum nearby for the white fuzzies from the Styrofoam, they statically cling to everything. And the box this comes in is really heavy, like 60 pounds, so you may need help getting this up stairs. One note - pay attention to the listed dimensions, as it is smaller assembled than I envisioned. But I am still very happy with this purchase, no regrets at all.

Actually ordered 5 different pieces from this furniture line. I am very pleased. It went together easier than most self-assemble furniture I have purchased. It seems very sturdy and looks great. All pieces were in the box, but as we were putting it together we noticed a blemish on one piece. We weren't sure how noticeable it would be, but after we had it assembled - the blemish was pretty obvious. Ordering a replacement part was simple. I strongly recommend using their website rather than calling. Under their support section there is an option to request a replacement part. You just enter a bit of information and the order is placed. We had the replacement part two days later (now they ship from Missouri and we are in Wisconsin - so if you are on a coast, it may take a bit of extra time). Be sure to check the dimensions - it looks a little smaller than I was expecting - even though their dimensions are correct. But I like that - it was replacing a much bigger bulkier piece of furniture and I like the slimmer styling of this piece. But we did have one piece of stereo equipment that just barely fit. We plan to get rid of it shortly, so it won't be a problem. But this is a very sleek modern design and older bulky components may not fit. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.
Perfect TV stand for 50" tv or less

I could not be any happier with this TV stand. It looks even better in person than the pictures on here and it was so much less expensive than most of the other TV stands in the stores that looked half as good. I ordered this stand to put my 50" TV on it and it fits perfectly. I was a little worried it would look weird with the max inch TV on it but it looks great. The stand comes in pieces. It was not difficult to put together. It took me about an hour and that was because I was also watching TV at the same time. The instructions were clear and all the pieces were in the box. This is the first time I have put together a TV stand so I was happy with how long t took and how good it looked. Everything lined up perfectly and no screws were stripped or lost. It is light weight. It takes 2 people to move it but that is just because it is long. The shelves are perfect for many different electronics. I have a wii u, DVD player, roku, playstation 2, and a few other things on it and it fits them all due to having movable shelves. The cabinets on the sides are great for hiding all the controllers and excess equipment. And the wires from everything barely show because the back panel. I am very glad I purchased this TV stand

Packaging: Got this to hold my new Flat screen. It fit the bill price wise and with mostly positive reviews I thought why not. It arrived in a pretty small box. I had my doubts looking at the box that everything was in just the one box. I got to unpacking, and it was all there. I want to hire the guys who packed this box to do my next move. It was perfectly packed, hard to remove anything from this box. I ended up grabbing a box cutter and cut the whole top off the box. Not a thing was damaged. Perfect condition. Assembly: The instructions say you need a hammer to assemble this unit. I got it out but never used it. You are supposed to pound little wooden dowels into holes, but the holes are cut so large it was not needed. In fact I had a hard time keeping the dowels in the holes. Not a big deal but made me question the sturdiness of the product. Besides this oddity I found assembly pretty easy I set it out and assembled it while watching a movie. Looks: I like it. I think the unit looks very good and meets my needs perfectly. It is not going to be an antique I had down to my non-existent children, but it suits the space and needs. Other thoughts: The center metal pole is dead center of the top, not at the back as shown in the pictures. I actually think this add stability and sturdiness, but worth mentioning. I was able to fit my Playstation 3 on one side of the pole and the Xbox 360 on the other side. My 60 inch HDTV fits on it fine. I know this unit is only recommended for 46 inch and smaller, but my TV is a thin panel and weights less than 70 pounds. The top shelf is rated for 95lbs, so I feel safe. The cabinet doors were a little tricky, but not as bad as some reviews claim. The shelves inside the doors can not be arranged for 2 rows of DVD's to stand upright. The shelf is adjustable, but if you raise or lower it enough to allow a DVD to stand up then it makes the other shelf really small. Annoying to say the least. Seems like poor planning and design. What else would you put in these shelves if not DVD's? Even Playstation 3 games/Blu-ray cases are too large for double rows. I ended up laying DVD's and Games on their sides. Far less ascetically pleasing, but the doors are always closed anyway. Over all a good purchase I guess. Price was right, and that was the main motivation for me.
Cherry is close match to Target Threshold Carson espresso bookcase

If you have the Carson Threshold book case from Target in espresso color, the cherry version of this TV stand is a nearly exact color match. This was my goal when buying it. I also don't know what people are complaining about in terms of quality and assembly difficulty. These kind of reviews had me on the fence for this piece enough that I ordered and canceled two separate times before finally deciding to give it a shot. This stand is no different than any build-it-yourself furniture from Ikea, Target, Walmart, etc. You must not overtighten the pieces or the wood might strip. You also must lift the assembled stand by grabbing on to large, solid pieces so your pickup force is more widely distributed. If you grab the metal parts that screw in to the wood, they might tear out; after all, they are designed to support weight of the TV, electronics, and stand in essentially one direction only - compressing downward. It took me less than 1 hour to assemble solo (50" version). The hinges on the cabinet are adjustable. Each hinge has two separate adjustment screws, so if you hang it a little crooked or it scrapes against other wood, you can change it without unmounting the cabinet doors. One thing that didn't work for me were these brown stickers included in the set to cover up the cam connectors. The sticker backing would not peel off and instead they just ripped out of the paper. I think they are pointless anyway so I didn't particularly care.
