Southern Gathering 9" Soup Bowls - 4

These soup bowls arrived at my happy home with one of them already shattered on my doorstep. The remaining three bowls are really OK, just not very elegant or well turned out. They are functional though. The matching salad plates I bought along with them were a slightly better value, although once again, not really suited for anything very fancy. Overall, even though these were a bit pricey, they are oddly irregular in shape for ANY type of Southern Gathering; that is they don't stack well without wobbling, and it challenges the imagination to visualize the production process which turns out this product...(monkeys running lathes?). They take up a whole lot of space and don't hold very much soup either. Hope my drawl compensates. I really doubt these bowls will last very long, so then my problem with them will be solved soon enough. I'm kind of surprised Paula Deen would sign off on these. So then we all make mistakes...
