Descaled Capresso espresso machine, boiler is less noisy now, was a lot of rattling and popping when coming up to temp before. Also used to descale a metal electric kettle.

Fair solution, not great
By James J. Stark on Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2013
Capresso markets this solution as an easy way to de-calcify your coffee maker. The goal is to clean the heating elements so that the water gets heated to near 200 degrees to extract maximal flavor from the ground coffee. My coffee maker is ten years old and I have not de-calcified faithfully, so I may have been expecting too much, but I found this solution no better than a white vinegar and water (50/50 ratio) combination. Easier to use than the vinegar. I think the key is to do this often if your drinking water is hard.
