Excellent Tension Releaser!
By SmokeyBear on Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2014
Sunbeam Tension Relief Heating Pad is excellent! The heating pad is well constructed and fits comfortably around your neck and shoulders. The heating pad has a small extension piece which extends the neck area and lower portion of heating pad extends down your back to just above the shoulder blades. There is a magnet on each end of the front closure pieces which holds the pad in place so it does not slip off your shoulders. There are 4 heat settings which are on an extended timer, nice feature. This pad offers a deep penetrating warmth which helps to ease and release tension. There is a dry and steam heat options but I have only used the dry heat which I prefer. The pad is not bulky and does not move about or loose its shape due to light weighted edges of the pad. Plus, the pad has an extra long cord for easy movement. The pad is a soft micro-plush material which manufacturer says is machine washable but I have not tried this yet. This heating pad is well worth buying and I would definitely recommend this product. Wonderful!

This is a terrific idea for a heating pad made to wrap around ...
By John on Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2016
This is a terrific idea for a heating pad made to wrap around the shoulders. Really, I still think this is a great idea. Now for the however part... The point where the cord meets the pad consists of a large, clunky, and heavy connector. While I realize this connector is necessary, the bulk of the design and weight of the connector are bothersome for the user. My very clever wife has found a use for a thick cloth cover from a large ice-pack to wrap around the connector. She tells me that this has helped significantly, but it is still cumbersome and creates a challenge when trying to use the heating pad in a recliner or when laying down. My suggestion would be to add enough flat cable to put about a foot or more between the connector an the pad. This will add to the external/visible cord and hardware, but I believe it would allow for more flexibility and comfort for the user, which I would think is the primary goal..?
