Rainbow Cat Wand Charmer

My original purchase was October 2023. It was ridiculous, how much my cat loved that thing. Such a simple stupid toy. He couldn't get enough chasing us around the house with the silly thing trailing behind. Then, it got lost in a move. So, we purchased another one in June 2024. This thing is about 20 inches shorter -- but of course, the same price. Super annoyed. Cannot play in the same way, it is not long enough to dangle tantalizingly around corners to make the Fat One run like crazy. The description says 65inches (five and a half feet). I did not measure the first one, but that sure sounds accurate -- I remember thinking "DANG! This thing is LONG!" The second one purchased in June of this year is nearly two feet shorter. As soon as I shook it out I said "THIS THING IS SHORT!" Only 45 inches. Not the same thing. Not the same toy. It's not long enough to dangle behind as the kid runs from room to room with a cat hot on his tail. This one is stupid short. Sounds weird, sure. But it actually makes a difference. Now, all he can do is dangle it over the edge of the sofa and hope the cat is interested. Super annoyed. I really hope it's a production error and not a corporate decision to shortchange all their customers. UPDATE: It's not a mistake. Three of my friends (who I told to buy this) have measured -- they are all 45-47 inches long. So, basically, two feet of stupid cheap stretchy stuff probably made in China --- was a corner this company was willing to cut.
