Stopped working after 9 months :(
By John on Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2022
I wonder if the manufacturer warranty is more than 9 months - so we can have it repaired? We purchased it in Jan 2022 - and it worked well. It has less power than our previous blender, but putting boiling water and setting 30 minutes of cooking was enough to cook squash soup. This morning it stopped working: just does not turn on, no power on light. We obviously tried to use a different socket, and other things from the manufacturer video - nothing helped...

I had to buy it new, it got damaged quickly and it also seems that the brand discontinued it.

First of all, haven't had it long. So far we've found it cooks really well (hot, hot) and blends really well. We actually purchased it because of our positive experience with the brand. We have a well-used almost 7-year-old Cuisinart Griddler still going strong and hope this Blend and Cook can match that kind of workhorse standard.
Has been amazing!

Strong, easy use, easy clean. Had fun experimenting with soups, smoothies, and much more. Discovered I can make cream and red sauces in it. Made enchilada sauce from scratch with various chilies. Favorite so far was the New Mexico red or green chili sauce, sometimes called Anaheim or Hatch chilies. I can set it to cook and just press the stir button occasionally while cooking everything else for meals.
How Can You Love and Hate This Much?

I'm so in love with the cook-and-blend idea it pains me to complain, but, sentiment aside, here I go. First it's Really Heavy. Totally forgivable. But when I unboxed it, giddy with excitement, I read the manual cover to cover, and set the pitcher into the base, and pushed the power button. Nothing. It wouldn't turn on. I disassembled everything, pushed all the pins and buttons. I cried myself to sleep and came back to it the next day. I'm going into this much detail for a reason... I pushed the pins and levers and studied the gasket again. On the back side of the base unit there is a pin with a slot in it. It's the only part that absolutely must fit perfectly, and it's the only one that's made of plastic and it's black on black, very hard to see. Like I said the pitcher is heavy and mostly very dark. Gingerly lowering the pitcher onto the base, I felt like I was trying to bring the Starship Enterprise into the docking bay with no lights. On the underside of the collar there is a matching black pin that must fit into that slot. Even knowing this I lowered the assembled pitcher onto it multiple times before I heard just the right click and, unexpectedly, the power came on and the blender worked. Beautifully, I might add. I can't wait to make applesauce, peanut butter, custom soups and sauces, etc etc.

I would NOT recommend to my worst enemy.

Absolutely worthless. It's a fine blender when it works but in 1 year I have had to have it warrantied twice. The warranty policy makes you pay for the shipping (it's heavy so this is not cheap) and inclose an 'evaluation fee' via check or money order. You would be better off buying a new one each time it breaks. Save yourself the trouble and keep shopping. Go with a Kitchenaid or Blendtec, it's cheaper in the long run.
Was refurbished so a little hesitant

I don't like buying refurbished but my friend talked me into it. The blender functions them self were ok but the 1st speed hardly did anything at all, best if used on #2 speed or higher. Unfortunately I'm having to return the item because the cooking function didn't work at all, stayed on for about 2 mins then would cut off and that was the feature that made me decide on this. This definitely helped seal the deal in staying away from refurbished for good but did see a few other brands of blenders I liked on Amazon so hopeful I'll find one I like after I return this one.
not renewed well enough
