One of the wheels does not turn well...
By Susan B. on Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2016
Edit: I'll put this in on top of what I first wrote. The wheel situation is annoying (-see below in my original review-), even with significant weight in the bag. This may be why the bag was a "closeout" item, but I honestly did not expect a product normally quite expensive to be defective... If a product is being sold at a reduced price due to issues, then those issues should be listed. The suitcase also has a very annoying issue with falling forward unless you first wheel it backwards for a stretch so the front wheels turn towards the front --even then it's not the most stable. If you've packed the bag enough that you have to unzip the extension, then you pretty much have to count on the suitcase falling over forwards if you let go of the handle. I've taken to leaning the front of the bag against something before letting go of it if it's full, and making sure to not put my laptop in any of the front pockets --not even the nifty inside one... Too bad, really. Original review: Outside looks good and well made, but, one of the wheels is very tight and not rolling well. To be fair, I haven't used it yet in travel when the bag is packed --I have simply been rolling it around empty on different floor coverings-- but the one wheel keeps catching whether I try to roll it on hardwood or low pile commercial-type carpet. This may be a non-issue when there is more weight in the bag, but, I did not expect to see an issue like this straight out of the box on something this expensive. When I roll cheap suitcases on the store floor at Walmart, they roll and turn just fine... I opened up the zipper to the inside lining in the bag to access the screws holding the wheels in place, and discovered some not-so-great workmanship in there; foam pads supposed to protect the silky lining from getting rubbed/worn/torn by screw-heads were slapped on haphazardly --some barely hanging on, some not covering what they were supposed to. Took off the wheel, re-distributed the lubricating material on the ball bearings, applied some where plastic turns against plastic, and re-attached the wheel without tightening the screws super tight --it now turns a tiny bit better...
