Lazy Sofa Sleeper Green- Small

JAMES: It gets cold in Fairbanks, and SOMEONE ate the electric dog bed. Mom didn't want to chance SOMEONE eating another electric cord, so bought us this bolstered bed instead. Our guardpost is the big bay window which gets somewhat icey winters. This bed is big enough for 2 beagles -- especially when SOMEONE stretches out and hogs more than his share -- and cozy enough to cuddle up when it's chilly. With the corners & bolsters, I can curl up comfortably by myself and still be toasty warm.PACER: Only sissies need electric beds. This bed is great! We can observe the neighborhood without having to lift our chins off the bolsters, and if we need to see better we can always sit on the bolsters. Sitting on the bolsters flattened them after a few weeks -- especially as some sissy is a little overweight -- but Mom bought a little extra fill from the fabric store and plumped things up again in no time.MOM: James' front toes were mildly frostbit 2 years ago, and he is more active when he can keep them warm. He's also 11 years old. This review is written after a year of using the product in Alaska. In spite of triple-pane windows, the big bay window does accumulate a little ice on the inside when it is -30 or colder outside. The boys posed for a photo which I have tried to upload to the product page but which unfortunately can't be included directly in this review.The fabric is plush but sturdy, and the zipper ends are hidden under a fabric fold--important as Pacer had a "thing" for chewing zippers for the first few months after he arrived. The zippers slide smoothly and removing the cover is easy, because the zippers run a full 3 sides. The inner covers for the stuffing also have zippers, so adding more fill required only minutes. I didn't expect that, it is a very useful touch not found on cheaper beds. I added about half a regular-sized pillow's worth of fill after 6 weeks, and have not had to add any since. The cover looks new after 6 or so washings.The boys love this bed. I bought a large size and it's roomy enough for 2 beagles without undue crowding, but also cozy enough for one because of the corners & bolsters. My conclusion: well worth the cost, would purchase again, well-designed and easy to cleanFinal summary: Bark. Arf! WOOF!
