Cat still likes it after 10 months
By loaf of bread on Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2016
Nature's Variety has been in my cat's rotation for about 10 months now and my cat still enjoys it. She's happy and healthy and has never had any problems eating this food. No digestive issues or otherwise. I like that the ingredients are not complicated and there are not a bunch of filler in this food such as corn, potatoes, and vegetables. I buy the limited ingredient Turkey variety and it kind of looks like ground meat. Nature's Variety canned cat foods can get dry if kitty doesn't finish the food right away so I don't put out more than I think she will eat in one sitting. If I put it in the fridge, I add a little bit of water and that prevents it from drying out. My cat doesn't seem to mind it being a little dry anyway. The fact that turkey is the number one ingredient shows that this is quality food, packing protein that cats need and making it a good value. There are other cat foods that have more water content but you need to feed them more food in order to get their proper nutrition. My cat loves the little bit of gravy that is in the can and I add my own little bit of water to prevent it from drying out. Kitty does not like it at all if I add too much water though. The food is grain free as well as carrageenan and guar gum free. It is so frustrating that even many of the high end cat foods have questionable stuff but fortunately there's Nature's Variety. Cost-wise it's about $2 a can which isn't too bad among the good quality grain free cat foods. I have a small 2 year old cat and she eats one can a day.

It's canned cat food
By April on Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2013
It's taken me awhile to come to the conclusion that ALL commercial pet foods are making our pets sick. Some brands are better than others but none are what our pets really need. I give the Limited Ingredient Diet Turkey three stars because one, my cat will eat it and two so far he doesn't seem to be allergic to it. I won't rate it any higher because it has vegetables in it. Cats cannot derive any nutrients from vegetables but they can upset the digestive system. Their bodies are not designed for digesting vegetables. The other reason I will not rate it any higher is because it is my understanding that this particular brand and flavor has a very high percentage of fat. My cat, who is already overweight while eating very little, gains weight on this cat food. We are trying very hard to transitioning him over to raw food but he has so many food allergies and digestive problems that it is a very slow process. We take a few steps forward and a few steps back and I'm not sure who's winning. All these food allergies and digestive problems are probably from feeding commercial cat food in the first place. The other cause is probably too many vaccines. Do yourself a favor and try transitioning your cat over to raw food. It can be cheaper in the long run. Make sure you do it correctly, though. Dr. Karen Becker, DVM claims the best food you can give your cat is a balanced raw diet. The worst food you can give your cat is an unbalanced raw diet. You can see all of Dr. Becker's videos on YouTube. I will probably continue to buy this canned cat food until our cat is transitioned over to raw food permanently because he likes it and will eat it. My goal is to kiss all commercial pet food good-bye.
