Very durable

This toy is just as you'd expect from Melissa and Doug. It's solid wood, very colorful and fun for my 20 month old to play with. The only feature that I dont like is that the wooden pegs that the blocks slide onto come out of the holes in the truck bed. I think its supposed to be like that, but its such a pain in the rear to pick them up all the time (they come out easily) that my babysitter actually tried gluing them into the truck bed :-) It didnt work, they still come out.

Beware: may cause splinters

My almost 2 year old loves this toy. However, I think it could be sanded better. After the first week of playing with this toy I found three splinters on her. Two on her hands and one on her foot. I had my husband sand down the pieces a little bit but the holes are small so a little challenging. Probably wouldn’t recommend this.
