absolutely LOVE this little pot !!! she is my morning superstar :D (pictured to her right is her adopted mother, my 6 cup bialetti venus lol) moka pots have been my preferred coffee brewing method for a couple of years now for several reasons: they are easy to use + clean, don't take up any space in the kitchen, and most importantly, make an incredibly delicious cup of coffee (i like an espresso-style drink but would rather not invest in an expensive machine just yet). i've also come to enjoy the daily ritual of grinding some fresh beans and preparing my little cup - gives me some motivation to get up in the morning :p i bought this 2 cup size as a one-serving option for myself, so i can switch up my coffee routine if i want to (for example, sometimes i use a phin for a cup of vietnamese coffee instead of the moka, or maybe i want a little shot of decaf cuban coffee after dinner). it works beautifully and efficiently every single day. as i use boiling water in the base, my brew time at med-low heat is usually 3-4 minutes tops, and the flavor on my coffee with this pot is always incredible !!! all of the notes of whatever beans i'm using come through wonderfully, and the cup has a lovely aroma as well. moreover, the stainless steel construction makes this moka pot extremely easy to care for - much better quality than the traditional aluminum pots imo. one thing i want to address is some of the negative reviews i've read on this product... it seems that they are all due to user error or just plain ignorance. one reviewer stated that too many coffee grinds ended up in their final brew, which i have Never had an issue with, neither with this pot nor any moka pot i have ever used. if you do encounter this issue, i would recommend grinding your own beans and making sure they are at a medium-fine grind, somewhere between what you would use for pourover and traditional espresso. sometimes if you buy pre-ground beans, they are just too fine - probably more appropriate for a traditional espresso machine. another review complained that this only made 2 small espresso cups, which.... lol lady learn how to read please 😭 overall i would give this moka pot a resounding 10/10 in all regards: size, functionality, build quality, brew time, and flavor of the final product. i actualy enjoy using this much more than my bialetti simply because of its small size, and i don't believe it's inferior in any way, even though it was only $12. if you're looking for a great budget coffee brewer, please start here - you won't regret it 💜
