Great jars!

These jars are the "real deal." And I would expect that being the Ball brand. They have measurement markings on the jar which helps a lot, depending on what you're doing. Also, the lids fit correctly and are interchangeable with other brands of wide mouth lids. That helps me a lot since I use plastic jar lids for everyday use. Always use the metal lids and bands for long-term storage. Also, I am a small person yet I can handle the dimension of the jar when drinking out of it (it's not too big for my hand grip). Highly recommend if you need tall mason jars!

So... these took a long time to get here (ordered August 10, delivered August 31). Two jars were broken and one of the lids was severely dented when they arrived so the bubble wrapped package obviously took a significant hit at some point but, the outside of the box was fine. I needed the jars and can't seem to find this size locally so carefully rinsed the tiny shards of glass off of everything... The jars appear the same as the others I have BUT I also use a lid that allows wide mouth jars to be used as a water bottle / drinking cup and that does not fit on ANY of these jars despite being usable on every single other wide mouth jar I have come across. The other standard wide mouth plastic caps and metal lids I have do seem to fit on these but it is annoying to now have to sort out which jar will fit the drinking cap.
