Love, Love, Love It!!

How do I love thee, Reconditioned Factory Certified Omega J8004x Masticating Juicer? Let me count the ways: 1) My kitchen is maple and white. This juicer is attractive in white and looks quite gorgeous on my counter. 2) The Omega J8004x fits on my counter under my cabinets. I can open everything without having to move it. It is unobtrusive. My previous juicer had way too large a footprint. 3) The Omega J8004x is quiet. 4) Omega J8004x makes a lot of good quality juice. As I get used to the machine, I am getting faster at it. 5) Does a really good job with greens like parsley and does fine with apples, pears, celery, lemons, etc. 6) I've juiced beets in the Omega and so far, it doesn't stain at all. 7) The pulp is fairly dry. On the rare occasions when it is not so dry, usually on things like apples or ginger, I just run the pulp through again and get more juice! 8) Yes, you do have to cut up the produce in small pieces to fit in the chute, but I don't mind at all. It is well worth it for the quality of the juice I'm getting. And yes, there is some foam on top, but the juice is "thicker" so the foam blends back into the juice more easily. The juice is cold and takes much longer to separate. 9) The pulp collector is easy to empty. I pour the pulp right into the bucket in my kitchen I use to fill my compost bin. 10) Cleanup is a breeze. So quick and easy if you do it right away. The pulp just falls right off the parts and the screen is really small so there is very little scrubbing involved. The brush that comes with it is just right for that little screen. Cleaning the Omega J8004x is much quicker than cleaning the Breville BJE200XL (see my review). 11) The company that sells these things is pretty good, too. When the juicer arrived, it was missing one of the "Blanks". I sent an email to the seller on a Sunday. They responded within 3 hours and I had the missing part by Wednesday. Great customer service! All in all, I am really happy with the Omega J8004x juicer. The refurbished unit is well worth the money. I recently sold my Breville BJE200XL to a co-worker for $15 (only had it for 8 months). It's his first juicer and I hope he really likes it.

This juicer makes beautiful, delicious juice

This juicer makes beautiful, delicious juice. If you make more than a single serving of juice (like four or five servings) this juicer is not the one for you. The size of the chute requires that vegetables and fruits be cut into very small pieces. Slices work best. Even carrots, if not sliced lengthwise, tend to just sit and jump in the chute. The auger just won't grab it. It truly does give you a great deal of juice with very dry pulp but the prep time is extreme.
