Honey-Can-Do Bamboo Bread Box

This thing is really such a piece of trash. I submitted a return five minutes after I unboxed it. I took several REAL LIFE photos of it so everyone else can see what it really looks like. How does it differ from the seller's images: - It is far lighter in color. They try to make it look darker and richer, almost with some red tones, but nope! It's just white-as-can-be bamboo - The screws on the side show as countersinked, not even visible from an angle, but they are not. Half of them protrude from the wood like a fifth-grader's project - The knife groove shown in the picture literally doesn't exist. The real thing just has the drawer partitioned off for a place for a knife. Because it is so deep and narrow, when I put my bread knife in there, it was difficult to get back out because I couldn't get my fingers around the handle. I had to grab further up near the blade, not safe! - In two of the pictures, it shows the "slightly vented cutting board [d]rawer" as affixed to the drawer itself, but it is not. It's just a loose, thin, HEAVILY-vented grate. Good luck cutting anything on that How does it differ from the description: - "has a classic rolltop design that is easy to open": not AT ALL easy to open. You can see in my pictures that the rolltop cover is bamboo strips glued to a thin fabric. In another of my pictures, you can see the guide groove is roughly cut and not a smooth curve. It drags so badly I have to hold the bread box with my free hand. Definitely not ADA friendly ;) I'd like the seller to tell me with a straight face that it is "easy" to drag fabric across rough wood! Hilarious - The fact that they even claim that the drawer has a cutting board is insulting. It is so flimsy. I'll never cut anything on that - "STURDY and elegant bamboo construction": NOPE, not sturdy at all. I feel like I'm going to snap that measly handle off every time I open or close it. How is it ugly in general: - The screws are an ugly color and don't match with the wood. Your eyes are drawn right to them. - The slats of bamboo that are used are crowned so they don't line up nicely, leaving gaps in the rolltop (in my picture) and leaving the "cutting board" looking like a miniature pallet. Don't waste your time and money. Even the packing material is cheap crap! Now I have a bunch of tiny pieces of styrofoam on my dining room floor that I have to sweep up. If this is what a $30 (discounted from $55, yeah right!) bread box is like, then maybe they should be illegal (unless it was made for you by a friend or relative in high school wood shop, but hopefully out of solid hardwood).
