Great product

These were purchased to make cookies for my granddaughter’s dinosaur themed birthday party. The sturdy cutters with stamps were easy to use. I had to make sure to press the stamp in deep enough to leave the bone indentations. Flooding the indentations with royal icing made these Dino fossils come alive! Chocolate cookie dough allowed a great contrast with the icing bones.

Cute dino designs!

Caveat:I'm not a huge fan of making rolled cookies, I think that they are generally too labor and time intensive. However, I thought that these cookie cutters were so cute, I wanted to go through all of the work anyway. The cookies are relatively large, generally about 3-4 inches in length and 2-3 inches in width (measurements are eyeballed). The skeleton imprint is a separate piece from the cookie cutter itself. Due to the length of the cookies, I had to be pay attention and apply even pressure across the skeleton imprint piece, which took me a bit of practice to get it right. The skeleton imprint pieces really require a good dusting of flour so that the cookie dough does not stick to the dough. I am generally satisfied with the product. The reason why I give it three stars instead of four is, again, it's a bit more work than I like to put into my cookies and I would really only make them a couple of time a year.
