Another win for the Big Boots series!
By bananawest on Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2014
This was my 4yo son's absolute favorite toy he received for Christmas this year. Like other Big Boots trucks, the Yeti catcher is full of cool 'hidden' thing-a-ma-jigs, like how the whole cab flips over and the 'wings' pop out. He has 3 or 4 other Big Boots vehicles, so I thought he might be bored by this one, but no: he loved discovering all the neat things it does (who needs an owners' manual when you have a child's curiosity!?) and it's quite different from the other vehicles. It has held up very well to his roughhousing so far. His 7 year old sister and 1 year old brother have played with it too - it's held their attention as well, so seems to be a great toy for a wide age range. Mom likes it too: it keeps him busy for quite awhile, and makes no annoying noises!! The Yeti isn't as large & heavy as it looks, which is a relief that we won't have a Yeti launched through the TV screen. An overall clever, good quality toy. The one potential downside is that a younger kid may not be able to get the vehicle back into it's driving position, as my son has to push fairly hard on the plow to get it to snap back into place. There are none of the small weapons included with this Yeti catcher, but you may want to watch the little handles on the net if there are younger children around.

My boys really like it and it is a neat toy. Once you pop it out and it shoots the net, it is a little difficult to put back together. My husband and I have to help my 6 year old.

My son has been asking for this since last Christmas. He talks about it all the time and says what the commercial says. The product is actually a pretty good size. Was worried would be smaller. The quality of the plastic is good too.

Okay, I was beyond impressed with this!! Firstly, it's so much bigger than expected! Which is obviously a hit with my son-- not to mention how flat out AWESOME it is, and we haven't even used the net yet! Push the orange handle on top down to make the sides come out, pull the back bumper to make the front cab go down and the dozier thing come out of the front, OR, if you pull the bumper first, then push down the orange handle, all of that will happen at one time. Push the orange dozier thing in to make the front parts go back into place, then push the sides back. The Big Boots characters are pretty great, as well. I'm really excited now to look up some more Big Boots toys! *By the way, this is not a toy that my son will get bored with anytime soon. He LOVES it!
Broke within a week

I got this for my 4-year-old for his birthday and within a couple of days of normal play 2 of the plastic pieces that keep the top secured to the bottom of the cabin broke when the front part slides forward. Now after a couple of months all four are broken so I had to take it apart and remove both springs so at least my boys can play with it as a car.
It's Literally Okay.

One way or another the toy is just okay. It's durable enough and can stand up to a beating. And it's a pretty neat idea too. I think the transforming idea is cool. And should make kids interested. But overall, it's just not much of a toy. I gave it to my friends kids who are 6 and 8. They played with it for a while, and that was it. It didn't even hold their attention for a whole day. And I found out that they haven't really played with it since then either. Add that in with the price and I don't think it's really that great a buy. Not recommended.

I gifted this for my 3 year old son. I was really surprised at all the vehicle can do. I showed my son how to open the parts and make it work and he can do it pretty well by himself. I love that the little guys always land on their feet. Very sturdy and fun to play with! I would recommend this to other children who love rescuing. My 2 year old daughter also likes to push the truck around when brother isn't looking.
Another great Christmas gift for my Grandson's

Another great Christmas gift for my Grandson's. It has been such fun for them. I love these toys because they can take them outside in the mud, they don't scuff, bend and a hose does the cleanup trick. The big boots provoke the imagination as well as being very durable. The boys and I sit down and look at toys in Amazon we see advertised on tv. It is fun for me plus for gifts they pick them out so I always get it right! They think we are just looking.

i bought this toy for my 3 year old for Christmas! When he first opened it he was thrilled! However, after taking it out of the box he realized this truck was not as easy as some of the other Matchbox big boots products! We can't seem to figure out out how to make the little guys fly! I have tried looking it over but I'm scared of breaking it! He has the big fire truck and he definitely likes that more! I just think this is way to expensive. Should be in the $10.00-$15.00 range. My 3 year old is pretty disappointed in it!

This was much bigger than I was expecting! Great toy, great price! My son loves it! He is 5 and plays with it a lot. It's nice how it came with the yeti and the guys. I thought the big boots stuff looked cheap in the store but I was very wrong. When we moved the mover couldn't figure out how to get it folded up and broke a piece off, but it popped right back on and my son has never had trouble with it, he had to show the mover how to do it so it would fit in the box! I would recommend this toy!
