Great garlic press!
By TJay on Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2013
I've had garlic presses over the years -- but thought they were more trouble to clean than they were worth. I have arthritic hands -- so finding something that was easy to squeeze was a must. America's Test Kitchen recommended this press. I took a chance, and I wasn't disappointed. It's easy to use, even with arthritic hands. Minces the garlic very finely. The black slidebar scrapes the garlic off easily. But best of all -- it's easy to clean NOW that I discovered how to open it up. The part with the holes is hinged and can be pivoted out of the casing for cleaning. I didn't realize this at first -- although once I discovered how it works, it's obvious. Dishwasher safe in the top drawer. I'm happy with the purchase and recommend the Easy-Squeeze Garlic Press!

Great idea, poor execution.
By Amazon fan on Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2014
I have the Kuhn Rikon garlic press without the plastic scraper and I love it. I just use a knife for the scraping. I saw this when I needed another and thought it was a great idea. Great idea, poor execution. It doesn't work and it gets in the way when you are trying to get the garlic off. The first time I tried it, it wouldn't slide easily and when it gave way, it splattered garlic all over the stove. I'm trying to figure out the best way to remove it. Stick with the basic model. You will be happier. I'd give that one 5 stars.
