This cookware was made for microwaves!
By joel750 on Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2023
This is the last microwave gadget that you will ever buy...Guaranteed! I don't know on what the New Zealanders are doing did but they made an Optimum microwave cooker when they made this cooker by Sistema! Thesemicrowave cookware is Made in New Zeland and this is a premium brand of cooker. I have been using this since I bought it non stop yet it ne er melted in the microwave after so many uses from soups to stews even everythingmade with tomatoes yet it haven't stained nor warped this cookware. I'm so glad that I bought this for it's always a made dash to get out and going places so there's really no time to seat down slouch and eat your food for thishousehold is a busy bunch and always on the rub hence why a microwave is a must in our family and it's the most used appliance in our house and we bought a couple of these Sistema microwave cookers for each memberof our family complete with their own names on it and they're solely responsible of taking care of their cookware. So far everyone is happy and eats their meals at their leisure using these containers. As the photos I'veincluded, you can visibly see my hand size as a comparison to the food container and how big it is so you'll get an idea. A very highly recommended item if you like non warping cookware made for your microwave.

UPDATE: OVERFLOWS WHEN COOKING OATMEAL!
By Joeun on Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2020
3RD UPDATE: Ended up throwing this piece of junk away b/c of how frustrated I got every time using this bowl. Never will buy another Sistema product ever again. Overflows every single time using 40 grams of regular oats. Just read the description on the product page. "Simply heat the contents in the microwave and then eat straight from the bowl. This microwave bowl features a lid with a steam release vent for SPLATTER-FREE heating and cool-to-the-touch, easy-lift tabs." Nope. 40 grams of regular oats, overflows every time before even being completely cooked through. Not simple or splatter free at all.2ND UPDATE: Look at the pic. Still overflows if you put room temperature water and anything above 40 (1/2 cup) grams of oats. I put 60 grams of oats as I am upping my total caloric intake and it just overflows out of the steam opening. No better than a glass bowl and not worth the money you pay for this piece of junk!Update: At first, I used 40 grams of oats and put in hot water from the water cooler. It overflowed within 30 seconds of cooking through the steam vent and I had to pull the steam vent off to clean the bits of oatmeal. Frustrated after cleaning up the oatmeal, I wrote the review below.I have since used regular room temperature water to cook my quick cook oats at 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes and it does not overflow in my 1200 watt microwave. The bowl is cool to touch and is much more comfortable in cleaning the bowl after eating as the oats do not stick to the bowl after drying.I knocked a star off b/c it is not leak proof and nowhere in the instructions does it say to use room temperature water. Some people only have access to a water cooler at work and most people will not be putting in cold water to there oats, they will put the hot water side and then stick it in the microwave to cook it a bit more and faster. If you do this, you will be cleaning oatmeal off the sides of the bowl and microwave. Make sure to use cold or room temperature water. Also the vent lid does come off, you just need to pull on it a bit. Not sure how durable the tab feels as it seems it could break if you pull off the tab too much. All in all, I am now satisfied with the product, but it seems a bit expensive for what you get so I knocked another star off for the value. If it was leak proof it'd be worth the money.Previous Review: I purchased this thinking it would prevent overflow of the oatmeal since you know you designed it to cook oatmeal as the description right on the bowl says. Nope. First time using it, the oatmeal overflowed through the steam vent. Instructions state to open steam vent before microwaving. No better than your average bowl. Also a lot smaller then I envisioned. A waste of $7.29.
