Problems & Solutions: I have used this for years but,,,,

This is a note to the product manufacturer so please pass along & you have my permission to remove from your page as not to lower your Amazon rating. I have no intention on harming a seller for a product flaw truly MJSmith. I have complained about this for years!! So now i'm yelling publically, please please find a different packaging supplier!! The lid separates and becomes brittle after a few uses and usually that results in dropping the product and further damaging the container so, c'mon I'm a good customer and I sing the products praises, but that container has got to go! I was literally born and raised in the service & retail industry and I see a few problems with this product that will send it further into obscurity and eventually lead to a cancellation. #1 A full sized deodorant extruding container would work great for this, and h*ll it might even cost you less money. #2 If that was to happen this consider this.. either change your retail and online placement or go forward as a crossover item if the costs make sense. #3 You could get rid of the sterile and overexplanitory labeling as well. I do suggest this should continue to be a gender neutral product, but with the addition of natural fragrances you could acquire more space to garner attention and let the consumer choose what they like. #4 Re-launch the newly packaged product using a small cardboard POS display shipper with three options. Fresh & Natural: such as fragrance free/dry-wood/citrus/green leaf/water/soft floral. Bold & Wild: Musk/spice/wet wood/Oriental floral. #5 Finally pitch it as part of your daily regimen just like putting on deodorant in the morning. I know the primary focus is dry cracked heals, and it does a fantastic job, but it works much better than lotion and oils on dry skin spots beyond the heel. Best thing i've ever used on my beard, elbows, knees, knuckles, cuticles, and other places we won't discuss publicly.. Merely by accident I found out how well it works on scar tissue. It softened them and I don't have a medical explanation but those places have lighted over time and are nearly impossible to see now. Step up your game because you have a good thing here that could be great! M

Excellent Product: It works!

I love it! I've been struggling with deep heel cracks for years and have tried everything. I've slept with socks on, worn closed shoes and used every cream and scrubber I could find out there. Nothing worked for more than a few days and the cracks would return. Living in such a dry climate doesn't help either. On the recommendation of my sister I tried this product and am pleased with the results. It's a bit smelly (though not as bad as described in the negative reviews) but the magic of this product is that even after not using it for a few days and wearing open shoes, my heels didn't get terribly dry and cracked as they have in the past. I am going to stock upon this stuff, just in case it's ever discontinued. I no longer have to soak my feet for hours in hot water to soften up the skin then scrub it to get the dead skin off. Heeltastic does it all with one swipe! It works well for me and I love it, strong herbal scent, greasy feet and all. I don't even have to wear socks at night and I wake with nice soft feet.
I have soft, pretty feet again. Not dried out, callused feet!

This has made my dry feet soft again. I also get calluses; and this ointment keeps them soft, and for the dead skin able to wash off with a washcloth in the shower. This has been a complete foot changer, making my feet more comfortable during the day, as I’m very active. Now I don’t notice foot ache where calluses are, or foot fatigue as the rough skin was rubbing against my socks. Just wow, happy feet! It may be a bit expensive, however, you’re only using a tiny bit per use. A little bit goes a long way and it penetrates the skin like no other product has. My feet look nice again.

I live in the Northeast, where the winters are dry, dry, dry! I get a pedicure monthly, year 'round, but in the winter, my feet, particularly my heels look terrible! They have those deep wrinkly places, and constantly shedding dry skin makes it like my feet have dandruff!! I've used other products, and they make the feet look better, but only temporarily, until the foot's had time to dry out again. When I first bought the Heeltastic, I thought the name was dorky, and figured, "This is probably another 10 bucks wasted...." It's discouraging to try to buy the best, and even the "best" doesn't work! Well, I used it once a day, and after only about 4 days, there was a marked difference! I kept using it daily for awhile, and now I only use it about three times a week, and that's all it takes for my feet to look great. In the winter, I can step up my usage, if I need to. Here's my method: after my morning shower, I rub the stuff generously with the stick all over my heels, then I kind of rub it in, spreading it over the rest of my foot as well. I add more if needed, until I have the whole surface covered with a thin layer. I do this in the morning before I go to the gym, so I'm putting an athletic sock on right after applying. When it's time to change my shoes, there's no residue left. That's it. I'm sure you could do it at night too, but I think doing it right after a shower is probably helpful. Also the stuff has this great, herbal smell. Not flowery or perfumey. After I have my shoes on, I can't really smell it, anyway. So, I am a big fan of this product! $10 per unit is the best price I've seen, online or in stores, and you should be able to find it for that, although some may charge more.
it smells, but it works!

Wow, this stuff seriously works. I have been using beeswax on my heels for a few months and it wasn't creating as much of an improvement as I hoped. I decided to try this stuff out and within a few days, my feet were smooth. I'm a distance swimmer who spends hours in the pool (chlorinated) every day and my feet suffer from it. Nothing has helped- even weekly visits to the podiatric surgeon for skin treatments weren't helping. So I wasn't expecting much from this, and I was SHOCKED when I took off my socks and my feet were smooth. The one caveat? This heal balm smells REALLY strange and it's a very very strong smell that permeates everything. If the dictionary were scratch and sniff, this would be the smell next to the words "old-timey liniment" (not that "old-timey linament" would be in the dictionary, but I hope you know what I mean). And the smell gets all over your socks and shoes. So it's not exactly something you want to apply before a hot date or an important business meeting. Better to do it before bed. Regardless of the scent, this stuff works. It's so potent sometimes I skip a day to let my feet have a chance to un-moisturize. Highly recommended.

I have tried a variety of products and devices to smooth my heels, but this salve is the one I will continue to buy. It contains safe ingredients, which many products do not, and this is a concern because anything you rub on your feet or anywhere on your skin will be absorbed into your bloodstream thanks to the skin's absorptive action. This product is in the form of a stick similar to a deodorant stick. It is a balm that you rub on your heels, and it is rich with oils and fats that will soften and moisturize the skin in that area. SInce many of these ingredients hold in moisture, it's a good idea to apply it after showering or bathing so there will be moisture in your skin to be held in. You can apply it liberally, but then I recommend wearing socks over it for two reasons. One, it smells awful, and two, it makes your heels dangerously slippery. You could easily fall, so wear socks, or at least slippers with a washable insole. However, if you apply it once a day after showering and then a couple more times before bedtime, you'll notice a difference very quickly. By the second day, your heels will be noticeably smoother. One of the best things about this product is that it requires very little effort. You just put it on and go about your business. You don't have to try to file down your heels. Just use this. In addition, it's economical considering how many applications you'll get out of one stick. It does not permanently smooth your heels; you will need to keep reapplying it, but over time, your heels will have less crustiness to deal with because you are using this product regularly.

Excellent Dry-Foot/Heel Solution

Once Spring comes along in New England, it's "goodbye boots" and "hello sandals." Over the course of the last few summers, I have noticed that my feet have become very dry, cracked, and callused. I didn't want to give up wearing sandals, but I figured I had to if I couldn't find a solution... enter Heeltastic Intensive Heel Therapy. The price was so low, I went ahead and ordered 2 of the sticks just in case it worked. I am so happy to have found this product. I tried a few different products including Neutrogena Foot Cream and some other general foot creams. Each and every one was messy. I especially like the Neutrogena Foot Cream, but it was messy and only seemed to help a tiny bit... and that was putting it on every morning and night. Plus, it gets used up quickly and at that rate, I was going to go through quite a few tubes. Heeltastic is relatively mess-free. Yes, it obviously gets your feet all covered with cream, but I use it before bedtime and just put on a pair of socks afterwards. After the first night of trying the stick I could feel a difference. Now, after a few days of trying Heeltastic, my heels are completely crack and chap free. What's better is that I've barely used much of the stick at all. It has a unique herbal smell, but I kind of like it. I'd recommend this Heel Therapy to anyone.
Save the Footsies, How I got immediate relief , before my order even got to the house

in the meantime I needed an immediate fix. I was having the usual heel problems that we are all here looking to cure for several years and using a pumice stone, foot cream, and later a pedi-egg.. then suddenly things got worse... I got a painful crack in my foot and a general itching burning sensation in both feet. I limped through the day ... but by evening I knew I had a problem and ordered this on line... meanwhile to cure the immediate problem and I looked at my feet and saw that they had some dirt from gardening that was kind of ground in and I was afraid to scrub at because of the cracks in my feet, and the one hurting...I had to do something, because the dirt could cause infection if I couldn't rub hard at it ... and the fissures opening... Whew, I was in trouble I thought. So, I made a mixture of honey and coconut oil.. the oil to moisturize and the honey to act as a antibacterial agent against the garden dirt... I live in Florida and often wear flip=flops ... cut the tops off of some old socks because my feet were to sensitive to just pull them on and put those on and went to bed with my home made remedy.. My one heel with the open fissure was too painful to even put down on my soft mattress so I slept with it hanging out of the bed... Yes, I was in serious pain and trouble..I was guessing that if I went to the doctor he would perscribe an antibiotic and that was not the cure I wanted in my mind. In the morning my feet were a bit better but still not there yet. So, that evening plan B went into motion. I soaked my feet in epsom salts and warm water for 15 minutes, then dried and cleaned them with a soft face cloth paying attention to those dirty looking fissures. Gently... then put olive oil on them and socks ... this seemed to be the ticket, immediate relief, softer feet and pain was gone. THe next morning ... I was good to go... and knew I had to keep up with foot care and not ignore them the way i had in the past, but, for now I was out of the woods...
Something's changed!?

This used to be our very favorite product but it seems to have changed. It still works but.....My heels and balls of feet --as well as my husband's--were so dry and cracked they looked like the floor of a desert. When Heel-tastic was first introduced on TV, we purchased it. In two weeks we went from bad feet to soft, baby-soft results. It was hard to believe. We'd just put it on before we put on our socks each day, and sometimes at night with socks, too. It said it was made of all natural oils. It has a strong but nice smell from the oils that quickly diminishes after you put socks on--which, by the way, you need to do. You'd slip all over the floors and get them greasy otherwise. This greasy feeling doesn't last or leave a residue when you remove the socks. Then something changed as I see dimethicone as the main ingredient--in all fairness, perhaps it was there before and I didn't notice. Here's my issue now: the product is a twist up, kind of like a solid deodorant and a similar texture. But now instead of staying 'solid' and smooth, the product becomes gloppy after a few uses, and doesn't distribute thinly and evenly on your feet, creating what I can only describe as a "gloppy application" which to me is wasteful and the product gets used up more quickly.. The purpose of the applicator is so that you don't have to touch the product to 'blend' it into your feet, but now I have to do that--I've tried refrigerating it but it really doesn't help. Not sure if the company has changed the formula, but this is why it only gets four stars. Otherwise, I have yet to find anything that works this well on extremely dry feet.
