Great for the purpose, fans and moving air is the best
By CN on Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2025
I tried another kind of comfort-sound generator, based on speakers making electronically reproduced noses and white noise. I did not like it at all. I tried this one, and I was sold. It really does the job of providing comforting, soothing noise to block out other ambient noise and help sleeping. Fans and air movement are the only way to go. It has two adjustments that let you tune it extensively to your liking, by changing the size and orientation of the holes that the air comes through because of the fan. The body rotates. This appears to mostly tune the frequency, with a smaller effect on the volume. The top also rotates, and appears to mostly tune the volume with a small effect on frequency. With a little fiddling you can get it just like you prefer. It masks trash trucks in the street outside and wailing Burmese cats outside the bedroom door. Won't ever be without one of these again.

Love it but only lasted 8 months
By Kindle Customer on Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2025
Best thing I could have purchased to help drown out noise to help me stay asleep! BUT only 8 months later it suddenly stopped turning on. The cord had no noticeable damage (since it just sat on my nightstand this whole time) and using a different AC adapter didn't work. Because I loved this product so much I just ordered another one in hopes that this one will last!
