This unit was 1. Well packed, 2. Clearly instructed, 3. Sturdy when assembled, 4. A great value. I assembled this shelving unit on my kitchen table, a perfect height. 4 feet for the base, 12 columns (4 between each set of shelves), and 4 caps for the top shelf. Nice heavy unit. Absolutely a great unit for my closet shoe storage. One warning: do NOT store wet shoes on this unit. If so, pressed wood materials will swell and warp. (This unit is not appropriate for mud room use.)
