SoundAsleep Dream Series Air Mattress with ComfortCoil

Originally I bought this mattress in September 2024 to use in evacuation after Hurricane Helene. It was so much nicer than the one I had then with a valve which kept opening. The Sound Asleep built-in pump did a great job, soft flocked top was comfortable and the mattress also didn’t slip around on the floor. The cord is a little awkward to keep stuffed in its cup at the end of the bed, but all in all everything worked very well. It was really easy to adjust the firmness to get exactly the feel I wanted, and I slept comfortably assuming I was moving into a permanent situation fairly soon. Nine months later circumstances had me still on the SoundAsleep mattress (which of course is not designed to be used permanently). Suddenly the air started to leak out when I was lying on it. I called customer service on a Monday morning at 10:15 and got a message that they didn’t open until 11. I hung up to try again after 11. Two minutes later, the same number (in New York) called back, and it was Casey from SoundAsleep asking if she could help. When does that happen these days, before the company officially opened and when I didn’t even leave a message? I told her my situation, hoping to get tips for finding the leak. She looked up my purchase and said they were simply going to send me a replacement under warranty (!!). She also had practical advice about how to find and stop the leak in the few days before the replacement arrived. FYI, blue tape does help stop a leak on the flocked surface although it’s not a long term fix. Bottom line: I received my replacement mattress in four days and can’t say enough how impressed I am with not only the mattress (there probably are others that are good) but most of all the service and commitment to their product — I am a very happy customer.
