Very good product. Convenient and very effective.

I have a very well-equipped home gym, but cable flyes are missing. Now that I am getting back into lifting, I want to add some chest cable flyes to my workout. I went to the gym in town where the "big guys" lift just to look around. I was considering joining the gym simply to get access to the cable flyes. I wanted to target my upper pecs with cable flyes. I discussed my situation with the receptionist at the gym and she recommended getting some bands for home use. She said that it would "save me some money." What a great tip! I had never heard of using bands before so I looked up some videos on-line and liked what I saw. I finally decided on getting the DYNAPRO three-band set (yellow, red & green). I am extremely pleased with my purchase. They work exactly as advertised. I use them in my home gym during each workout. I use the bands for both "incline" and "decline" chest cable flyes, and they work great for that purpose. I also use these bands for bicep curls and tricep extensions. Very convenient and very effective. For people who travel, these bands are a small and extremely lightweight item to simply toss into the suitcase or the car. Then you can get in a quick workout while on-the-road, wherever you are. Additional thoughts: * Unless you are an absolute beginner with weights/exercising or have a particular physical impairment/injury or are doing physical rehab work, my opinion is that the yellow band (the "weakest" one) is basically worthless. I purchased the three-band set (yellow, red & green) and I only use the red and green bands. Also, I have just purchased the blue band ("extra heavy") because I know I am ready to use it with some exercises. * I have only used my bands for about three weeks, but they seem to be in perfect shape. No sign of wear & tear, but only time will tell. * My preference is to never adjust the bands. It's not necessary. You can either alter your position to increase the bands tension/resistance (e.g., by stepping further away from where the band is anchored), or simply buy another heavier band. You can also choose to do more reps for any given exercise. * Finally, my opinion is that these bands are very safe and that there's virtually no possibility of hurting oneself if the bands are used properly. Of course, if the band were to break or snap, that would be a different issue. * I never received the instruction guide from DYNAPRO that is supposed to be e-mailed to me "when the product is shipped." This hasn't occurred, twice. However, when I initially purchased my first set of bands I also purchased a laminated two-poster set of resistance band exercises from QuickFit. These posters show a large variety of resistance band exercises. Inexpensive and very helpful. * I never did join the gym. However, I did go back to thank the receptionist in-person. Excellent product. Highly Recommend. UPDATE February, 2025: Although these bands are a very good product (as I describe above) it seems that their strength wears out over time. I used these bands a lot when I first got them. But unfortunately I got away from lifting and working out completely for a few years. When I started back in JAN 2025, the red band had deteriorated noticeably, so I threw it away. The blue band (second from the strongest/hardest) was still in good shape, but it didn't seem as difficult to use. It was similar to using a lighter weight than before. So I ordered two of the black bands (the strongest/hardest) and am pleased with these. I still recommend these bands for their convenience and utility. But the buyer should be aware that they may degrade/wear-out over a number of years. Nothing lasts forever. Rating changed from 5 stars to 4.5 stars.

Good bands, bad handles, incomplete full set, and no multiple band coupler
By GG on Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2016
I've had these for a bit now and feel I can give my assessment having had put them through many workouts. In terms of giving great resistance, they offer a surprising level of intensity. I've used them as stand alone, but also with weights, and an exercise machine to gain more resistance. Use other than stand alone may be unintended by the manufacturer, but the bands stretch all the same. For example, I use the bands for squats by taking a barbell bar and wrapping the bands around the ends, and then looping them around my feet, or through eye bolts on my own squat deck I've made - it's just a 5' x 5' x 4" plywood deck with 2 x 4 supports - like a small stage of sorts . Another example is incorporating the bands with my Total Gym by attaching them around the foot of the gym and the squat bar on the glide board. This offers a great expansion of that gym since squats, lat pulls, and other exercises don't work out so well on the Total Gym for lack of resistance and my level of strength for those given exercises. So why the 3 stars? Two reasons. First, the handles are worthless. I popped the handle out of the bracket the second day I used these bands during a stand alone exercise. It would be so much better if the bands had nylon straps with neoprene handles rather than the plastic handles these bands come with. Second, WHY doesn't the company offer a FULL SET of bands? There are (2) other bands you must buy a la carte to get the true full set - the blue and black bands to be in particular. Also, there should be a fitting to attach multiple bands for greater resistance. Other band brands offer this as well as a MUCH better carabiner style of connector to a nylon strap handle. This set of bands is for the casual user, or for the light, maybe medium strength level user. In that, these bands would excel, but they fell short for me, not that I'm a bodybuilder by any means. However, with a little thought, I've been able to make these bands what I want them to be. I got rid of the handles altogether and attached carabiners to the ends. Then, I also made my own nylon straps with neoprene handles made from old computer bag straps found at the thrift shop for ten cents. I also fitted the straps with carabiners so I can attach my modified bands, and now I can add multiple bands for resistance. So, to put everything in a nutshell - these are GOOD bands, no question, and for the low level user they should be fine. But, for me, the cheap plastic handles, lack of ability to use multiple bands, and not offering a full complete set made this purchase hum-drum.
