Meh...
By Theresa Fife Clark on Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2015
Despite cooking at perfect temperatures, the pans almost always stick. Paint has already chipped off of a few pans. Holds temperature great and heats fast, but doesn't really matter when you're food sticks and burns on the bottom.

Love these!

Just replaced my 10 year old Calphalon anodized aluminum no stick set because the no stick coating was in such bad shape it was getting worrisome. They were good pans while they lasted, but I didn't want to replace with another no stick set so I went with stainless this time. Sooo happy with this KitchenAid set! It replaced every pot I had in my original set except for one and after checking KitchenAid's website, I can get one of those. I'm not sure why some reviewers are having trouble with food sticking. I have had these for four days and have used them all (except the 8 qt stock pot) and nothing has come remotely close to sticking. I cooked omelettes this morning in the 10" skillet and actually had a hard time flipping them only BECAUSE the pan was doing so good a job of NOT sticking...not enough friction to hold it while I got my spatula under it. It wanted to slide right up and over the side of the pan. And I didn't have to use a ton of oil! Maybe a teaspoon and that was enough to cook 2 omlettes and 2 fried eggs without needing to re-oil. All the leftover bits of egg and melted cheese just wiped right out with a paper towel. Same with the salmon I cooked last night and hamburgers the night before. Rice, beans, spaghetti sauce, sausage...everything I've cooked in the last few days just slides out beautifully. The only reasons I'm going with 4 stars instead of 5 is because 1: the lids have a small ridge around the inside that I'm afraid might be hard to get gunk out of if something bubbles up into that groove (like spaghetti sauce). Nothing a small scrub/tooth brush couldn't handle, but potentially annoying. And 2: the sauté pan blued after the first use, despite having used it on medium heat to brown extra lean hamburger (see update below). TBH, I'm not that worried about it though...how often do you look down into your pans? The 2 seconds before you put food in them? Pssh! I've read up on it and the collective knowledge of the internet tells me that it's a very common problem that can often be solved by Bar Keeper's Friend or time. Similar to the way cast iron has to "season". I have yet to give either solution a try, because again, it doesn't really bother me. They're cook pans I intend to use a lot....they will not remain pristine for long anyway. I'm only mentioning it in my review because I know that will matter to some. Otherwise I love these pans. Had mom over for dinner last night and she's jealous of them. Her birthday's coming up in September and if these perform as well as I hope they do between now and then, I will be gifting a set to my mom. TL;DR Pros: - lids for all pots & pans! - no stick! - easy to clean - nice feel in hand - would buy/gift these again Cons: - some blue staining after first use (see update below) - lids have a groove that might complicate cleaning UPDATE: Happened to see Bar Keeper's Friend while shopping today. Figured for less than $2 I'd give it a try. Just washed that "blued" pan I mentioned earlier....didn't even have to scrub and the blue completely disappeared. I literally sprinkled the tiniest amount into the pan, swished it around once or twice with my rag, then rinsed, and viola! Blue gone and back to looking brand new. I have updated my star rating to 5 stars as well.
We're neither extremely happy with them nor extremely disappointed

These are okay. We're neither extremely happy with them nor extremely disappointed. They're stainless steel pots and pans, nothing more or less.
1 Year of ownership

I own the red set for over a year, they look pretty much brand new. Honestly long as your not rough with your pots and pans you should see many years out of them. The bottom of these pans are smooth to prevent scratches on Glass Top stoves - that means they also transfer heat very well from the glass top I'm excited about it seeing the same set for sale 1 year since i bought them meaning if something DID happen i could replace them instead of being screwed because "company X or Y" decided to change there design to force you to buy a new matching set. (that's how they get you!) One big note about Stainless Steel - EVERYTHING will get stuck to them in the beginning but over time (1-2 months) if your cooking in them frequently they become non-stick. (you can look online on how to make any pans "non-stick" to help speed the process up)
THESE ARE OUR FAVORITE POTS AND PANS EVER SO FAR.

So first off I want to the reviews of the sticking eggs and I was unable to duplicate that same issue :) . If you know how to cook with and care for stainless steel pots and pans you will LOVE this set. I have cooked many dishes so far and have had very little sticking. Also cooking is extremely even which is shocking to see being that I have a electric flat top. So far on one pot has some scratches on it, and that is due to my wife using a metal fork to stir Mac n Cheese with. (was not happy to find that out) Other then that this set is perfect, color is amazing, and quality seems extremely good. Please see the attached pictures.
