Beautifully Crafted and Elegant

I just received 4 sets of the Gorham 5-piece flatware and love it! The design is beautiful, nicely crafted, very simple and elegant. It is a good weight, well balanced, not too heavy, I like a lighter feel in my hand. It has a shiny look so will mix nicely with my sterling silver (also by Gorham) so will be handy if I need an extra setting or two for fancier occasions. The soup spoon is deep enough to hold a proper helping without spilling. The tines on the fork are finely honed and not clunky and rough, like some stainless forks I’ve seen. I am delighted...I’ve been looking for a few years to find something I love.

Didn't hold up for even a month

Wow. I waited a long time to replace my old (35 year old) flatware. So much of what I saw was too lightweight., too modern, or too intricate. These are really lovely. As another user said, the spoons are unusually deep, but that is not an issue for me. UPDATED REVIEW: After just two weeks of use (in gentle dishwashing soap) most of the spoons have scratches on the back, one knife is pitted and another stained. I have read similar reviews (on other sites as well as Amazon) and wish I'd listened. Am returning.
