Dyson AM08 Pedestal Fan, White

I initially liked the product, although it is not as powerful as a previous Dyson tower fan I purchased (that has been discontinued) and MUCH louder. It's loud enough that I couldn't use it except on the lowest settings when on work calls, as the microphone picked it up enough that colleagues inevitably asked who had the noise in the background and I wound up turning it off. Every call. However, it is still a decent fan. It moves a good amount of air, it was comfortable for sleeping, I like the 10 speeds and the remote control ease. The biggest problem is that the head snapped off within just a couple of weeks of use. The plastic connectors are molded into the head itself, so there's not even a way to get a replacement part. It broke at the head connectors and the collar in such a way that it's no longer useable. I don't expect that from such a respected name brand and for the significant amount of money the item cost. Was very disappointed.
