Victorinox 6-Piece Prep 'N' Chef's Set

The only thing I regret about this set is that I did not get it years earlier. I moved to NYC a little more than five years ago, without any household items, and have been using some knives that I inherited from a friend. I do cook quite a lot; but since the old knives weren't terrible, I thought it would not be justifiable for me to spend a lot of money on some new ones. Anyway, I did get very frustrated with them towards the end, and once, in a whim, just ordered these. These are awesome. Very sharp. The big knife is great for veggies, onions, even meat, etc.; I use the small ones (2 cerated and 2 regular) for any other job. I have not used at all my old knives since these arrived, not even once. And it is so much easier to prep anything with these! Now I just love cooking even more. If you have a small household, this set should be enough as a do-it-all. Seems great quality. I don't mind the plastic handles (they are bright colored, easy to know which one is which). As others noted, the big knife does not have a place in the stand, but probably it is safer this way (it is quite heavy). Overall, very strongly recommend, makes work much easier.
