Whitmor 24 Pair Over The Door Shoe Rack

I bought this to replace my floor shoe rack. While I don’t dislike this product enough to return it, I almost did. I did like how easy it was to assemble and it’s design does allow you to store other things like hats on it. Here are my issues with this product: 1) the shoes push up against the door and push the rack off the door. There are holes to drill/nail it into the door but I can’t do that because this is a rental house. I ended up duct taping the bottoms, as you can see in the pictures. 2) it’s bulky. If your door is close to the wall, it’s going to restrict how much you can open the door. Luckily I don’t think it’ll damage your walls too much from hitting it bc the shoes hit the wall before the rack. 3) anything that isn’t a sandal or Low top shoe is going to need to be stored on its side, which restricts the number of shoes you can put in it.
