Really a nice little roll cart

I recently added the ADEPTUS 10016 6 Drawer Roll Cart in Black to my home. The first thing that caught my eye was the stylish design. The black finish gives it a modern and sophisticated look that seamlessly blends with any decor. It's not just a storage solution; it's a statement piece that adds a touch of elegance to any room. Now, let's talk about the practicality of this roll cart. The six spacious drawers provide ample storage space for a variety of items. Whether it's office supplies, crafting materials, or miscellaneous items around the house, the ADEPTUS cart has a designated spot for everything. What sets this roll cart apart is its mobility. The ability to roll it from one room to another is a game-changer. Whether I'm working in my home office or need quick access to tools in the garage, the ADEPTUS cart follows me wherever I go. The smooth-rolling casters make maneuvering a breeze, and the cart stays stable even when loaded with items. Assembly was surprisingly straightforward (except for the drawers, they are a tad tricky), thanks to the clear instructions provided. As someone who values both aesthetics and functionality, the ADEPTUS 10016 6 Drawer Roll Cart in Black has exceeded my expectations. It's a versatile storage solution that adds a touch of sophistication to my space while offering the practicality I need to stay organized. If you're looking for a stylish and functional storage solution, this roll cart is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

I've put together many pieces of pre-fab, DIY furniture in my life--including large, multi-drawer & cabinet storage pieces--so I had no hesitation about purchasing this item, with the intent of using it for jewelry storage. This small cart should have taken a few hours to put together at the most--working at a leisurely pace. Instead--three DAYS later--I've just dumped the entirety of the mangled shell, and drawers into a large plastic garbage bag where I anticipate it will be mercifully taken out of my sight by my local trash company... ...unless even THEY refuse to have anything to do with it. As other reviewers have noted, the construction design of this piece is not at all bad. If they had just spent a few more dollars on development and research to make sure the construction components actually WORK, this could have been a top-notch little product, instead of landfill or bonfire fodder. My problems began with the plastic drawer slides that were to be installed on the sides of the cabinet. The instructions state to gently tap them in with a rubber hammer. Ha! A blow from John Henry's hammer couldn't tap these in place so that they're flush with the cabinet side: the pre-drilled holes are too small to accommodate the hard plastic posts of the glides. I tried to work around this by heating an Xacto knife and then shaving off bits of the plastic posts--a couple hours of work right there--but still managed to chip off parts of a couple of the glides while getting them into place. I figured I could work around that--the glides weren't so badly chipped as to cause major function problems--but then found myself facing the problem of not being able to get the sides and top flush while putting the main body together. When one of the wood dowels ripped a chunk out of the top, it became evident that the problem was--again--a size mismatch among components. No probs--shaving down the dowels and copious use of wood glue should suffice--right? While waiting for that mess to set for a day or so, I began work on the drawers. Here I discovered that almost no guide hole are drilled in the drawer components, and the very back part of the drawer bottom is held in place by small nails, rather than having a groove that it sits in on the back piece. I finished a couple drawers and then waited a day to see how they actually worked in the cabinet. I chose a section where the drawer glides had actually installed without problems, slid the drawer in--and it stuck halfway in. I tried to pull it out--nothing doing. I gave it a firm yank--which also caused a side piece to begin separating from one of the bottom struts--and examined the drawer and glides. As near as I could determine, the wood grooves in the drawer sides are just a fraction too narrow or shallow, at points, to slide along the glides. I briefly considered whipping out my trusty Xacto knife once more...but then began mulling over the fact that I had already put far too many hours of work into this piece of furniture that would never be very sturdy or functional, due to its many construction problems. I reached for a trash bag instead. I consider it to be a $50 lesson learned--and thanked the heavens that I decided against the larger, more expensive Adeptus cart I had been looking at.

Very Nice Cart for the Price, Not Too Hard to Assemble, and Very Good Customer Service

AWESOME seller!! And really nice product. One little minor road bump in the whole experience, but it gives me the opportunity to be able to write an honest and knowledgeable review. My package arrived timely, but there was no hardware included, only the wood parts and the drawer rails, but no screws, nails, or casters were included. Things like this happen from time to time, so I didn't get too upset. I called the company, the manufacturer of the product, directly from where it shipped. I explained my problem; they were very courteous and apologetic and said they would get a packet of hardware shipped out right away. Meantime, I left a message for the seller who contacted me and offered to make it right. I decided to wait and see if the hardware arrived. It did, so I am very happy. You can definitely trust this seller and manufacturer of the product. Now to the product. It --IS-- real wood (albeit soft pine wood) lightly stained. The pamphlet that describes all of the pieces in detail has step by step instructions (pictures only) that show how the cart goes together. One reviewer mentioned the dowels did not fit exactly right, some too tight, some too loose. I did not have any that were too tight to fit the predrilled holes. Some were snug and some were loose. I just used a drop or two of glue in the hole prior to putting the dowel in the hole. I am a 61-year old grandmother, and I figure if my two grandsons 12 and 10 could help me put together this cart, and we could get it put together, then anyone should be able to do it. Yes, the drawer bottoms and the back of the cart ARE made out of pressed particle board, but I kind of expected that. The primary parts of the cart are solid pine wood, however. All in all, for the small amount of money and time expended, I give this cart FIVE stars. I am pleased with it and it serves my purpose. I didn’t have lots and lots of money to spend, so this was a good value and good solution for me. I am using it as a small office cart to store paper, batteries, envelopes, etc.

Good quality, but it had a big scratch at the top board and other smaller scratches.
Like that it’s solid wood, assembly easy, wish quality control was better

I bought this unit to store cosmetics in. The package was surprisingly light weight for it being real wood. The size of the unit is perfect for my needs, but it definitely is on the smaller size. I bought this as an alternative to the IKEA cabinet that is similarly styled. The pros are that it is actually solid wood with the exception of the backing in the bottom of the drawers, it came well organized and the instructions are clear. I definitely recommend using a screw gun to assemble this. The pieces themselves aren’t labeled but in this particular project that wasn’t a big deal. My only made major complaint is that the quality control of the wood pieces isn’t yeah that great. I understand that with it being real wood, there would be some imperfections knots, etc. because this is a cheap pine. I have included photos of exactly what this looked like after I put it together. For my purposes, these issues aren’t deal breakers, but there are plenty of imperfections on the wood pieces that should not have passed a quality control situation. Theres a pretty significant scrape on the top (stain it over this damage so this was stained in spite of the scrape) a split on the side (seems stable and I’ll probably just use a marker to hide it), and just general divots and imperfections all over. If you are looking for a functional piece, that seems sturdy, this is probably still a good deal. If you’re looking for something that is cosmetically perfect this unit probably isn’t it.

Fantastic product. I moved my office to one of the rooms on the first floor of our home and purchased one of the Winsome wood folding desks sold here on Amazon. It is smaller than the room wherein was my previous office but I like being on the first floor and able to effortlessly take breaks to go outside on our gorgeous property. The Winsome desk is smaller than my huge L-shaped desk upstairs and it does not have drawers. Where to put everything? I have a whole lot of "everything" which I absolutely need in order to work. My office needs are not exactly zen-like. So I bought this product and I love it. I wheels around like a dream and the draws are of sufficient size and number that I can fit everything in them.I have thought about getting a second unit but so far, I have not needed to do so. Everything fits in the one unit and the top of the unit is handy for my beverage mug or file folders in use on any given project, as the case may be. I might buy a second one for my sewing area where it would be ideal. There are just two issues with this product. First it comes in a million pieces and needs to be assembled. I was very intimidated by the number of pieces and the complicated directions. Overwhelmed is more like it. Fortunately my husband put it together for me - much to my great relief. The second issue is that the wood - which is otherwise a pretty good quality - has some rather dark-staining knots in it. Such does not esp bother me - I think the unit is very attractive. However, if you are very fussy about this sort of thing, you might find that disturbing. For example, my particular unit has a fairly large and darkly stained knot the top and two on the side. Your unit may not be perfect like the one featured in the picture. I love my unit anyway but it is something to consider if one is a perfectionist and disturbed by such issues.

Ok, I got this to use to hold music that I intend to keep next to my piano. It will still serve its purpose but aesthetically it is not up to my standards. I get it, this is not an heirloom piece of furniture but I would still expect a little more quality control. First picture is a ding on the front facing piece. Second is one of the drawer sides broken, I am going to glue it up to use, but I shouldn't have to. Third is one of the drawer fronts with a missing piece at top which will be visible. Last two are the one side that is warped and no way, no matter how hard I torqued, to get it to pull together. So, the reality is I will live with this but hopefully the company will at least see fit to refund part of the selling price.
Really Solid Piece

First, the piece is mostly made of solid wood not particle board with wood look printed plastic film on top. It is very sturdy and well designed. I bought one over a decade ago and it's still as strong and sturdy as the day I assembled it. Now years later I wanted another and was glad the company is still around. Second, it does take a couple hours to put together, but the assembly is very straight forward. Overall, I think this little drawer cabinet is still as great a value as the one I bought all those years ago.
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE- ANSWERING MACHINE FULL-NO RESPONSE. HELP!

This cart could be wonderful. But the owner of the company is apparently a fly by night with an answering machine that he allows to get full, never responds to messages, emails, or requests for replacement parts. It is really a shame, because this product is really nice for the money. First, here are my responses to the other reviews that say this is hard to put together- RUBBISH. That simply isn't true at all. This is a solid wood item, except for the back and the drawer bottoms, whih are masonite. You can replace the drawer bottoms with thin plywood for a much sturdier drawer, if you like. Because it is wood, it goes together with wood dowels and screws. I highly recommend that you glue the parts together, use glue on the dowels and edges, before you screw the parts together. This includes the drawers. This will make for a much more sturdy item. There are no pre-drilled holes in the target pieces. Make sure you line the screws up straight, and on the drawers. tap them with a small hammer first to make a pilot, then screw them in BY HAND. Do not use any power drill on this item. Took about an hour to put the 6 drawer pine rolling cart together. It looks nice. BUT- there were two damaged parts, a drawer front and back (knots in the areas where screws had to go, resulting in cracking on the parts). I followed the instructions, went to the web site. You enter a ton of info, including the parts needed, and then the checkout doesn't work. So you can't get your parts that way. I called the 800 number during business hours, an answering machine answers. It's FULL, so you cannot leave a message. So there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER. So I am trying to use the damaged parts, best I can. This really sucks, and detracts from the value of this item. Amazon, please speak to this owner about providing service. Please? I will order more carts if he provides service. They really are nice. UPDATE: After I posted this, the broken parts arrived. So I am adding a 4th star, based upon the quality of the product. As I said above, you will not get a solid wood product for the money they are charging. Unlike the other reviews, if you are familiar with woodworking, you will blow through the construction in no time whatsoever, and come out with a very nice cabinet. I had mine in an area where I was doing doing construction. Things fell on it, causing dents, but it held up nicely. Solid wood always does. I bought another one, and may buy more.
HIGHLY DISAPPINTED

Let's start with the good things - the color works well, it serves the purpose I bought it for and it does look good next to my dresser/powder table. Surprisingly, the PLASTIC drawer slides work decently. Now, for the not so good - a bit of a misrepresentation about the particle board - the drawer bottoms and the back are DEFINITELY not real wood. It's nice particle/pressboard, very sturdy, but not real wood. The parts are not labeled. Luckily, they are pretty easy to figure out in a few minutes. BUT it would've been helpful on the drawbacks had the instructions commented that one side is curved and it should go to the top. The manufacturer comments that pre-drilled starter holes are not necessary because the screws have pointed tips. This leads to constantly having to back screws out because perhaps you didn't get this piece or that piece lined up quite right. Then there are not preset marks for nailing the PARTICLE board drawer bottoms in (or the back). Since it is actually a high quality PARTICLE board, that made getting the nails started difficult. Next, let's talk about the wood - pine, which is admittedly soft. Since the drawer sides and back are not treated at all, they are really soft. This lead to screws causing the wood to splinter and crack. The back of one drawer will be lucky to last very long. The soft wood also mean the nails chipped the backs of the drawers off easily. I had to glue several pieces back on one drawer back just to cover the nail tips. Never in my life have I had instructions that said to tap in the casters with a mallet or such. Took a hammer on the last one. And they don't roll that well. I am no stranger to furniture assembly over many years, ranging from a microwave cart to a king sized bed. This was the worst ever in terms of instructions, quality, etc. I had started looking for something easy at TJMaxx, Ross, etc. so I didn't have to assemble it. I live 10 miles from an IKEA, guess I should've gone there.
