Absolutely worth every penny. They exude earthy, naturalness that is so appealing in our modern world. The texture is ruggedly nice in that they are hand-made, but the fibers are soft and silky, and the construction is the finest. I have a synthetic (polyester) "jute" rug for the kitchen sink -- it's ok, but there's no comparison in what you're looking for with a real jute rug. I just love both my 4' square in the entry and my 4' round in a junction of 2 rooms and the hall. Gorgeous, beautiful. What you're looking for in bringing natural and nature into your home. I will definitely be bringing more into mine and I'm a Chinese sculptured wool gal!

Chemicals smell cancer causing. Not natural at all.

I never leave bad reviews but don’t buy this rug!! I wouldn’t reccomend anyone buy this. The rug had a toxic smell as if something chemical were sprayed all over it. I’m not hung up on stuff like that but I wouldn’t let my dog near the area where I had it. It smelled like I was going to get cancer. The dust from having the rug laid out for an hour was all over the entryway and stuck to the base boards. There were pieces of the rug sticking out and the rows had gaps where it was to be sewn together. It was pretty, toxic and not built to last. Just like my last relationship!
