Great set, well-priced, great gift
By E on Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2021
We’ve had these for 6-months and I love them enough to get on here and tell y’all this is a great set for yourself, or to gift to someone else. I could not be happier with this set, I absolutely would buy these again. Super pleased with this purchase, I think the price is really good for the quality and quantity of knives, and have found much to appreciate about this set in the time I’ve had it.Got these for my partner, who wanted the black/metal look, but I really wanted high quality knives that were going to function well and be easy to care for - these delivered all on fronts! I think they look amazing, and they are crazy sharp and I don’t see any rust anywhere. I’m a big fan of Cuisinart products and I am thrilled these knives have not let me down there.I think they are pretty light in weight, which took me some time to adjust too, but now I really appreciate this feature. I hand wash and pat dry, and they are holding up great. I used the small curved knife to zest an entire lemon last night - and I am wildly impressed with that specific event, like the process and the equipment and the results. I recommend anyone out there zesting lemons get your hands on this one knife at least and impress the hell out of yourself like I did.Have not done any deboning with these, but I seriously doubt they would let me down. I love the steak knives being incorporated into the set too, and I love that they are not those crappy, black, plastic-handled kind that just exist to open boxes and go missing and never be available when you are dining. There’s just a lot to fall in love with here.

Hate the block!!
By Elizabeth on Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2022
I have never seen a knife set where the knives didn’t securely go into the block. They wobble around. And the knife handles for the knives stored on the left side actually touch each other. What on earth?? This is not the kind of quality I’d expect from cuisinart - something that’s made to come as a set. I know it’s not their highest end set by any means but why - Why would it not be made for the knives that go in it?! Its so annoying I can’t get over it. The sound of the textured metal handles touching each other is like nails in a chalkboard. IThe kitchen shears are cheap quality plastic handles. The knives themselves are lighter than I anticipated. Very sharp, the handles feel good, though I do wish they had just a little bit more heft to them. The steak knives handles are very flat, no roundness to them at all. I don’t know if I’m going to like them, but I’ll see.Overall… meh. I paid $73 so I’m not livid, but you definitely get what you pay for. By the way, Amazon inflates the retail price of this item. It lists on cuisinart for 79.99 not 99.99- which may also be partially why I was surprised by the poor quality of the block. I would not pay $100 for this set.
