I ordered this for using with clay, not food, so I'm not super concerned with cosmetic issues. When I took this out of the package it felt dirty and gritty. When I washed it off I noticed the cut edges were rough and seemed to be coated in a clear seal. The sealant was sloppily painted over the top surface which made it kind of rough. I had to use my razor to scrape off the sealant.
