Handheld Birdie Steam Cleaner

DON'T BUY IF YOU WANT A CLOTHES STEAMER! ok, it does produce steam, BUT you have to hold the whole unit in your hand to press the steam button on the handle, you can't put it on the floor and use the hose attachment, so it might be useful if you were looking for a steam cleaner for hard to reach areas or tiny things, but not at all for clothes or anything you had to clean for more than a minute. And no joke, after steaming ONE SHIRT my wrist hurt for a week. Ridiculous. It weighs +5lbs, which doesn't sound like a lot till you hold it at a weird angle with one wrist for 20 min:( In addition, there are hardly ANY instructions (not even one whole page) and though the words are in English, the sentences don't make any sense at all, there is no instruction for what you should use the attachments for (or how!). I've tried every variety and none of them work well for clothing except the tiny (1") round brush and it takes FOREVER. At one point in the instructions it says you can convert it from 'steamer cleaner' to 'garment cleaner' but it gives no instructions on how you might do that and there are NO buttons/levers etc on the unit (other than the one you push to get steam). The instructions also say to watch the light for when it's ready to steam, but the space where it looks like a light might be doesn't change color or light up, just sort of a clear dot. sigh. Really - just stay away from this one, seems like a robust enough unit but it's not at all user friendly and there are lot better options in this price point.
