Best product ever made for naturals!

Honestly I have to review because I am impressed and I didn’t know how long ago I purchased the item and I am in wow of its longevity—it has been soooo useful in my wash day regime! First off I purchased this item back in 2017 and I just changed the battery just a month ago it still works like new! I ordered another type of scalp massager thinking maybe I found something better because it is new but as soon as it arrives I am sending right back to Amazon! Because this scalp massager that I had for 4 years is perfect in every way! I do believe it has helped stimulate, clean, massage, and grow my hair when it was just an inch short when I first big chopped —my hair is pass my boobs now! Amazing! Also, those who have Arthritis in the hands definitely skip on any manual massager that is going to be detrimental to your hands, which is why I am returning the other one by a different brand it is manual and I see pain in the near future with it. My 4 year old scalp massager makes wash day a breeze I have long 4c/4d hair and a lot of it! So using my scalp massager cuts time in half when I am shampooing and need to scrub my scalp—this item works perfect for that! I never use my fingers anymore for massaging my scalp because of my arthritis; I use this vitagoods massager for all of that even when rinsing shampoo out from my scalp. A good investment and a great buy! Ignore the negative reviews and get you one! All products sometimes ends up being shipped defected but don’t let that steer you away from buying a massager because look at it this way —-a laptop comes with the same risks but people will still buy it so buy this too! It’s awesome and it works!! Mine still works and it’s 4 years old! You can’t go wrong!

I like how it works, but the battery compartment definitely isn't waterproof.

Of course, it never says waterproof anywhere on the product description or documents. I read all the negative reviews about water leaking into the battery chamber so I was prepared. Still couldn't find another vibrating scalp massager (or didn't want to invest the time into researching others) so I just said I'd be careful with it, and I am. And that's how you need to use this product, unfortunately. Very carefully. You have to keep it out of the water stream and you have to probably remove the bottom part and wipe water away every time or every other time you use it. This will keep it pristine but it's definitely kind of annoying. I don't understand why in the world you'd make a product that clearly would be used in the shower and at the very least, needs a quick rinsing after use to remove shampoo and conditioner residue...NOT WATERPROOF. They put a little like, gasket sealer on the inside of the battery chamber but it doesn't do much at all. As mentioned, I'm very ginger with this and normally I remove the whole bottom part and wash/rinse that, keeping the battery unit untouched. I wipe the outside with a damp paper towel or cloth if there's residue on it. One day, to experiment, I did a very quick gentle rinse of the unit without removing the bottom part. Like maybe 3-4 seconds. Shook excess water off. Afterwards, checked the unit and battery chamber and yes, water had gotten in even from that quick rinse. In EVERY other aspect this thing is frickin' GREAT, five stars. But there has got to be a better way, maybe a gasket seal where the bottom part screws into the battery unit? Or, maybe if screwing it in just kept water out like, you know, how bottles and jars work. Or maybe an extra layer of something over the battery chamber access in between the bottom part and the battery unit to make it even just a smidge more water resistant at the very least. I'm tempted to find a thin gasket seal for glass jars and see if it can fit in there and still close. Anyway, I don't understand why this wasn't considered in the design. It kinda blows my mind. This is still a fairly good product in all other ways, but if you're going to use it, commit to being careful with it and taking it apart, wiping it, and/or checking the battery unit almost every single time you use it. Otherwise it WILL look like the rest of these negative review photos of nasty rusted battery chambers. I do know they have a new updated design, but I think it might also still have a rusty battery chamber photo gallery. Do check before you get this older model, maybe the newer one is much more water resistant or even waterproof?

Love this product. I use this for 2 purposes: shampooing and migraines. This product works well when shampooing your hair. I feel that it helps remove any impurities when you shampoo. Your hair and scalp are left feeling really clean. I find this works well when you don't wash your hair for a day or two and your roots are oily. I also use this to massage my dry scalp when I have a migraine. When I have a bad migraine, I massage peppermint oil onto my temples and back of the neck and use this massager on my scalp and back of the neck. I feel that it helps alleviate my symptoms much faster! This is my second time purchasing this product. I first purchased this for my daughter. I thought it was good quality and worked exceptionally well. The plastic does not feel cheap or thin. So if you drop it, I don't think it would crack or break easily. This massager is also easy to operate. It does require 1 AA battery and it is simple to insert. You have to twist off the base (where the brush is attached), unscrew a tiny screw and insert the battery. After inserting the battery, screw the base back on and that's it! There is 1 power button. It has a soft, rubbery texture. The finger grip fits nicely between your fingers and is comfortable to use. I personally feel there are no negative features about this item. I would definitely recommend this product!
Be careful of moisture & it works..advice here!

I have a love/hate relationship with this thing. An article about 25 must have Amazon items popped up on FB so I checked it out & this was on the list. Me & my fiance get very bad dandruff that we can't cure no matter the product's we've tried, and we've tried lush treatments to several $$ salon treatments and nothing helped more than a few days. After reading the reviews for this I had to give it a shot. Less than $20, why not?! So, it has 2 settings. Low & high..We both used the hi for sure! It stimulates your scalp big time & helps achieve major bubbles in your shampoo! (but does tangle your hair a bit so be sure to use conditioner!) You put one AA battery under the rubber knobby thing and screw into place. We both used ours with our shampoo in the shower and left it on our soap rack in the shower mostly out of the water, but still in the shower, mind you.(moisture & condensation still happen) Within 3 weeks both of ours started to lose power and eventually stopped working. It turns out it is totally not waterproof. Water gets under the rubber knobby things and into the battery compartment and rust the battery and motor inside. This was not made known in the pamphlet included with the product. No care instructions with any warning about moisture & the battery/motor. So although it cured our dandruff and worked extremely well, it takes a lot of care to keep it running properly. You must keep it out of the shower until use and right after use, take it apart and dry it immediately. After our first 2 broke, I just ordered one more and put duct tape over the battery compartment to help keep the water out between uses. We'll see how that works... Again, this product worked fantastic, healed our scalp & dandruff when nothing else would; but you have to be extremely careful with the moisture inside and keep it dry to keep it working although it's a shower product, but to me it's worth the effort! It's really helped our dandruff & scalp health. Our experience is you must use this regularly to semi regularly. Once his scalp got better my fiance went to once to twice a week & his scalp got bad again..Again, just our personal experience but *The More You Know!" :)
It really makes my scalp feel clean...

The vibration is just right to create a nice relaxing feeling while also cleaning my scalp. The spikes are not hard but just firm enough so it doesn't hurt. I've had this for a few years now and it is still going strong.

First and most importantly let me say I LOVE this hair massager. When I first heard about this I was intrigued. I have an auto immune condition that causes me to lose some hair, and I also suffer from a skin condition called seborrheic dermatitis that affects my scalp causing a lot of scaly, flaky, itchy, and red skin. Because of these conditions I must wash my hair once a week faithfully. When I wash my hair, the sebrrheic dermatitis is still there, I can literally see it as I'm blow drying my hair. When I ran across this I thought what a great way to try and control this. The messenger is put together very well, and a just don't see it breaking. Th body is made with a thick plastic, I believe the "bristles" of the massager is also plastic, just not as thick. The one I purchased came with triple AA batteries, and a small screwdriver. The body and the bristles are separate, with the handle on top and the bristles on the bottom. You attach and remove them from each other by easily turning the bottom left or right. When you separate the two, the battery compartment is located on the bottom of the handle held together by a small screw. Once you've installed the batteries twist it back together and you should notice a button somewhere up around the handle. You can use this in the shower while you're washing your hair. Once I apply my shampoo, I massage anywhere from 3-5 minutes. Let me tell you this feels so good! You're give yourself a nice deep cleaning while stimulating your scalp. In my option it promotes hair growth. Love this product.
Cracked Base/Vibration Issues

I did ALLOT of research/reviews for top rated brushes like this and this was rated the best. So when I did purchase it I was super excited to get it and use for myself to stimulate my hair follicales since I have waist length curly hair and it’s at a slowing growth rate. I also was excited because husband suffers from bad psoriasis on his scalp so I was thinking it would be perfect for him as well. With that being said..I absolutely loved this and I could definitely see and feel the difference on both of us..HOWEVER that joy didn’t last long sadly. Here is what happened: 1) After 1 month of using following ALL the instructions for care and use but even being careful the removable bottom (where the bristles are) CRACKED completly on the side preventing it from locking into place like it’s supposed to!! 2) Another flaw with this brush I found is that the bottom base kept turning out of position (unlocking) even when using in a single direction and NOT massaging in a circular motion in which it stated your supposed to do!!!!. 3) The battery cover was not completely flat when in the closed position which cause the vibration to go in and out forcing you to press down slightly harder in order for it to re-engage and vibrate..because of this I believe it caused more stress on the sides and resulted the cracking but I can’t be certain. Overall it’s OKAY but not great. I wouldn’t purchase again due to the higher cost then others similar to it. Very disappointment to say the least and believe that they could have made this with a higher quality material and not a cheap plastic prone to break. Would not recommend

Worth it, I order this yrs ago bur recently been using it more consistently. Honestly not sure if it works to promote hair growth but it is very relaxing and feels good. Everyone should experience this relaxation, it's a good mini spa type treatment for yourself. Treat yourself even if it doesn't work for hair growth!
This is one way to keep your scalp healthy.

I have been using this product since June 2016. I liked it so much I added it to my regular hair routine. The outer shell where the handle is located is made out of hard plastic. The bristles are made from silicone which is soft and bendable . I use this massager both while I shampoo my hair and on dry hair for a simple scalp massage about once a day. The massager takes 1AA batteries. Pros: Its convenient to hold, its water proof- so safe to use in the shower, it increases blood circulation to hair follicles, promotes relaxation and helps remove dead skin from your scalp. It is safe to use this product with oils on your scalp. Lastly, the massager does not make a loud noise when vibrating. Cons: It needs batteries, you have to unscrew the cap to insert the battery; I couldn’t find my screw driver so after it arrived it sat for a day until I found the screw driver. The vibrations will make your hand numb after some time of holding it. The bristles tend change color when using dark color hair products. Tips: 1) Be gently when using it, even though the bristles are soft don’t press down too hard or you may damage your hair stands and your scalp. 2) Don’t overdo the massage - its recommended to massage your scalp 1-2 times a day for up to 3 minutes. 3) Invest in rechargeable batteries. I use this daily and has been using the same rechargeable battery for 6 months now . 4) After using this product with dark color products , I recommend washing the bristles with soap and water to remove the color and prevent staining. *** I hope this review was helpful to you - THANK YOU for reading ! ****

I bought this in the hopes of getting a deeper clean on my scalp. I’ve also heard that massagers like this are good for stimulating hair growth and getting rid of dandruff. I don’t really have those problems, but I at least wanted to try this because my hair has grown a lot this year and has made it more difficult to clean my scalp. I have brown, mid-back, 2C/3A hair and I would not consider my scalp sensitive. That being said, this product does vibrate, it’s waterproof, and has bristles/teeth that do massage my scalp. That is what is advertised in the listing I saw, so I can’t fault it for those things. However, I have not seen or felt a difference in my hair or scalp and I’ve been using the product for 3 weeks. My scalp doesn’t feel cleaner and honestly it flakes more between washes than it did before. I generally wash my hair every 2 to 3 days. When I used it 2 days in a row, it started to hurt my scalp and I wasn’t pressing that hard. So I would not recommend using it more than once every 2 days. I also wasn’t sure of the best massaging technique, but no matter what I try, it either doesn’t really help or tangles my hair into a bird’s nest. Like I said, it does what it advertises. But if you’re looking for something beyond a scalp massager, there may be a better product somewhere else.
